    The body of a man has been discovered during the search for a 19-year-old who went missing in Spalding.

    Lee Smalley was last seen at about 01:30 this morning.

    The body has not yet been formally identified but Police say Lee's immediate family have been made aware of the discovery.

    Thieves have broken into Boston's Central Park aviary and stolen some birds and killed others by chasing them to exhaustion.

    About 30 birds are missing, including budgerigars, parakeets, cockatiels and lovebirds worth more than £600.

    Some of the birds had been donated by local residents.

    A wooden post was used as a makeshift battering ram, police believe.

    CCTV footage is being reviewed to try to track down those responsible.

    Councillor Claire Rylott, portfolio holder for parks and open spaces at Boston Borough Council, has described the incident as "mindless, determined, deliberate and heartless".

    Three old communication dishes which have gone missing from the site of the former RAF Stenigot have been reportedly sold for scrap.

    According to Lincolnshire Live, external, they've been "chopped up" by a local firm by order of the current landowners.

    The Ministry of Defence has confirmed to the BBC that it had nothing to do with the decision.

    As reported previously, only one of the landmark Cold War era dishes now remains at the old station.

    East Lindsey District Council say it's investigating if the removal of the dishes would have required planning permission.

    The death of a six-month-old puppy in Lincolnshire has led to a campaign to help stop off-the-lead dog attacks.

    Sweep died after allegedly being attacked by another dog near the coast last month.

    The campaign set up in his memory, Sweep's Army, aims to raise awareness about keeping dogs safe on walks and is raising funds for an indoor exercise field.

    Tasha Attwood, who trained Sweep, says the puppy's death was a great shock and owner Brenda has been left reeling:

    A Lincolnshire athlete is setting her sights on the Paralympics after winning four medals at the Invictus games.

    Debbie O'Connell, from Lincoln, won two gold medals in cycling and two silver medals in athletics at the event for wounded servicemen and women in Sydney last week.

    She had to leave the Royal Artillery after injuring her arm in 2014.

    Claims that three landmark communications dishes have been removed from an ex-RAF base in Lincolnshire are being investigated, according to East Lindsey Council.

    The huge dishes at the former RAF Stenigot, near Donington on Bain, each measuring 32ft across, date back to the Cold War.

    The amount of money spent by councils in Lincolnshire has dropped by more than £400 per person over the past decade.

    New figures published by parliament show that authorities in the county are now spending less than £1,400 per person.

    The average council tax bill in Lincolnshire is currently just over £1,500, although that includes the policing precept.

    A portrait of Lt Basil Perrin Hicks will be drawn into the sand at low tide on Armistice Day and washed away as the tide comes in.

    He was born in Sheffield and served in the 8th Battalion of the Royal Berkshire Regiment.

    He was killed on the first day of the Battle of Loos in 1915.

    A village pub which plays an "integral" part in an ancient mass rugby-style game has been saved from plans to turn it into housing, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.

    The Haxey Hood game, which dates back to the 14th Century, is held annually on the Twelfth Day of Christmas.

    It has involved patrons from The Carpenters Arms in Westwoodside, and The Kings Arms, The Loco and the Duke William, all in Haxey.

    The Duke William was due to be demolished to make way for new homes.

    Campaigners feared the loss of the pub would jeopardise the future of the Haxey Hood, which involves a large scrum pushing a leather tube to one of the pubs, where it remains until the following year's event.

    One man has said his condition was made worse when he was prescribed a course of videos by a Lincolnshire health trust.

    Ricardo Gamez-Heath, from Witham St Hughs, says he was surprised when he was prescribed them after being diagnosed with depression.
