The incident happened on the A15 London Road just after 16:30 and involved a Scania HGV.
Parish council chairman Ray Pearson says Osbournby's been rocked by the news:

Police have said that a 14-year-old was also hurt in the collision, but her injuries are not thought to be serious.

A public inquiry into the Grantham Southern Relief Road's been delayed because of an administrative error.
It was due to start today following objections from four public bodies, including Network Rail.
However, the government's planning inspector Martin Whitehead said it couldn't go ahead because there had been no notice of the inquiry along the route beforehand.

It happened just after 16:30 yesterday afternoon in Osbournby on the A15 London Road
Police are asking for anyone who saw the Scania lorry involved prior to the collision to contact them.

The A16 near Louth has been closed because of an overturned lorry near Burwell.
The road will be shut for the next three hours while the vehicle is recovered.
One person had to be cut free from the lorry and was treated by ambulance crews.

A woman has flown out to Tenerife to help with the police search for her sister.
Amy Louise Gerard, 28, originally from Cleethorpes, was last seen outside Irish bar Molly Malone's in Puerto de la Cruz in the early hours of Friday morning.

A Lincolnshire man who assaulted a woman will not face jail after telling a judge he thought it was sexual "role play".
Dean Wilkins, 36, admitted slapping the woman's face but said that after meeting on an internet dating site two months earlier they often engaged in rough sex.
Following a night out when the pair both consumed alcohol and cocaine, the woman was seen running from Wilkins' flat in Venables Way, Lincoln, wearing only a bra and with injuries including a bloodied nose and red marks around her neck.
Before giving his ruling at Lincoln Crown Court, Judge Andrew Easteal said there were inconsistencies in both accounts and that the truth was hard to ascertain.
On Friday, Wilkins admitted a charge of assault causing actual bodily harm to the woman on 28 May.
Wilkins will be sentenced on 20 December.
