    A Facebook page dedicated to finding missing airman Corrie Mckeague has welcomed the birth of his baby daughter.

    Mr Mckeague's mother Nicola Urquhart said: "We have finally welcomed this beautiful little lady into the world.

    "She is absolutely perfect. I am so very proud of April for getting her here safely.

    "Both mummy and baby are doing well. Thank you so much for all your love and support x x x".

    April Oliver, 21, from Downham Market in Norfolk, announced on Father's Day that she had given birth to the baby.

    Mr McKeague, who is 23 years old and from Fife, vanished after a night out with friends in Bury St Edmunds on 24 September 2016.

    A search for his remains is under way at a landfill site at Milton near Cambridge.

    A motorbike rider died at the scene of a collision in East Walton when his bike left the road.

    The green Suzuki Bandit motorbike was travelling along the B1153 between East Walton and Gayton at around 14:40 yesterday.

    A convicted murderer is at Norwich Crown Court awaiting sentencing.

    A jury took under an hour to find Joe Storey, 27, guilty of murdering his former partner Kerri McAuley.

    Storey was due to be sentenced on Friday, but failed to turn up - telling prison officers he wasn't needed in court.

    Swardeston have failed at defending the national T20 club competition after losing to Horsford in the first round at the weekend.

    The Norfolk side memorably won the competition last year against Sandiacre Town in Derby.

    However it wasn't to be this year as they lost to Horsford by 10 runs.

    Horsford finished on 154-6 and despite good knocks from the two Taylors in the middle order for Swardeston it wasn't enough to progress as they finished on 144-9.

    Extra staff were called in to work over the weekend as the East of England Ambulance Service struggled to cope with the volume of 999 calls caused by people reacting badly to the heat.

    The hot weather, where temperatures reached 32C (95F) in places, was the major factor in a huge boost to emergency calls, an ambulance service spokesman said.

    Emergency calls came from many people who had collapsed in the heat, were dehydrated and were elderly or struggling to cope.

    The ambulance service, which covers Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, said that Saturday was its busiest day of the year so far.

    Train operator Greater Anglia, external had cancelled 47 services on lines in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex and other parts of the region by 08:30 today because of hot weather and another 45 services were disrupted.

    The heat and expected related severe weather had led to speed restrictions on some sections which will cause disruption across all services, the company said.

    "Because of the alterations to services fewer trains will be able to run during peak periods," a spokesman said.

    "Passengers will only be able travel on another service if the train they have booked on has been cancelled."

    The Anglia Rail Forum said this had happened again despite engineering works and investment over the past 12 months.

    Passengers are advised to check online, external before travelling.

    The former boyfriend of a mother-of-two is to be sentenced for her murder today.

    It took jurors at Norwich Crown Court less than an hour last Thursday to find Joe Storey guilty of murdering Kerri McAuley.

    Ms McAuley was found dead at her home in Southalls Way, Norwich on 8 January. The court heard how 27-year-old Storey, of Murrells Court, Norwich, was high on cocaine when he punched his on-off partner.

    Storey was due to be sentenced on Friday, but it's understood he told staff at Bedford Prison he did not need to attend court for the hearing.

    The girlfriend of missing RAF airman Corrie Mckeague has announced the birth of their baby girl by posting a picture on Facebook of her cradling the newborn on Father's Day.

    April Oliver, 21, from Downham Market in Norfolk, also wrote: "Your daddy would be proud of you my little one and would love you as much as I do.

    "Corrie will be a part of both of us forever and no one can take that away. Mummy loves you little baby."

    Mr Mckeague, who is 23 years old and from Fife, vanished after a night out with friends in Bury St Edmunds on 24 September 2016.

    Norwich City's Jacob Murphy is on course to start for England U21s as they take on Slovakia U21s in the Euro U21 Championships this evening.

    Murphy started the Young Lions first game against Sweden U21s, but was substituted after 70 minutes for Leicester City's Demarai Gray. The game ended 0-0.

    As well as Murphy, Norwich's new recruit Angus Gunn is also in the squad which has travelled to Poland for the tournament.

    However, Gunn finds himself behind £30m man Jordan Pickford so will have to rely on injury or suspension if he's to start.

    The game gets under way at 17:00 BST.
