    Turning wet and windy later this evening with gusts of 65-70mph possible in parts of the BBC East region.

    With these sorts of wind speeds, and with trees still in full leaf, branches could come down.

    Rain clearing by the early hours leaving clear skies, but remaining very windy.

    The temperature will dip to 10C (50F)

    Wednesday will have a mixture of more sunny spells and blustery showers with the possibility of hail and thunder and highs of 17C (63F).

    A 14th Century pub destroyed by fire will be rebuilt, according to its owners.

    The Ingham Swan, near Stalham, was engulfed after the blaze took hold in its thatched roof during the early hours of Monday.

    In a post on Facebook, external, the owners said they would be “re-imagining” the inn over the coming weeks and months.

    "We may be down for now, but we are 100% committed to rebuilding our future,” they said.

    A spokesman from Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said its crews had now left the site, but had returned this afternoon to remove water.

    "Investigations are under way into the cause of the fire," he said.

    Norfolk Police said the road outside the gastropub had now been reopened.

    The headmaster of a state school in Great Yarmouth, who has come in for criticism from parents, has said he wants to "set the record straight" over rules which have been called strict by some.

    Barry Smith has published the new rules for Charter Academy on their website, external.

    It sets out guidelines - as opposed to strict rules - seen in a leaked induction leaflet.

    Some parents have said the new rules went too far with children scared to go to school.

    Mr Smith is holding a meeting with parents on Thursday evening.

    The manager of Bungay Town Football Club says the passing of former player Aiden Lowe, in his 20s, who died following a car crash at Gillingham near Beccles at the weekend, is "nothing short of the worst of anything I have had to deal with".

    Richard Daniels continues, external: "I have known Aiden (pictured left) since he was a 16-year-old at Kirkley.

    "It was clear to me then that he was a talented player with so much ability.

    "I kept an eye on his progress because I always treated David [Aiden's father] as a very good friend.

    "It was with great pleasure that, when I returned to Bungay last season, Aiden agreed to re-join the club.

    "His decision to move on never meant he was no longer a Bungay boy and his personality will always be missed.

    "I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of the whole club, that's everybody, to send his family our thoughts, deepest condolences and total sadness at the tragic and shocking loss of a lovely young man.

    "Aiden Lowe will never be forgotten."

    A lovely bright start for many of us across the BBC East region, but a little bit more cloud coming in from the west later this afternoon.

    In the meantime, enjoy the sunshine while it lasts.

    It'll be quite breezy, but the wind not as strong as yesterday.

    As the cloud arrives, we see the risk of a shower this afternoon, but not as heavy or as frequent as yesterday's.

    Things are set to turn very wet and windy overnight - the Met Office has issued a weather warning, external for strong winds across much of the region.

    There'll be a few isolated showers but otherwise, it'll be largely dry overnight across the BBC East region with clear spells and temperatures in rural areas possibly dropping a couple of degrees below 9C (48F).
