The manager of Bungay Town Football Club says the passing of former player Aiden Lowe, in his 20s, who died following a car crash at Gillingham near Beccles at the weekend, is "nothing short of the worst of anything I have had to deal with".
Richard Daniels continues, external: "I have known Aiden (pictured left) since he was a 16-year-old at Kirkley.
"It was clear to me then that he was a talented player with so much ability.
"I kept an eye on his progress because I always treated David [Aiden's father] as a very good friend.
"It was with great pleasure that, when I returned to Bungay last season, Aiden agreed to re-join the club.
"His decision to move on never meant he was no longer a Bungay boy and his personality will always be missed.
"I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of the whole club, that's everybody, to send his family our thoughts, deepest condolences and total sadness at the tragic and shocking loss of a lovely young man.
"Aiden Lowe will never be forgotten."
