Police are searching for a 79-year-old man from Leicester following his "out of character" disappearance.
William Reid was last seen at his home in the Letchworth Road area at about 10:15.
Leicestershire Police said he had never gone missing before and urged anyone with information to get in touch urgently, external.
Cobbler David Lee accidentally cut through his own digit while mending a shoe in his shop.

The body of a man has been found in an allotment in Shirebrook.
Derbyshire Police were called to the allotment, off Prospect Drive in Shirebrook, at about 10:00 on Sunday.
The force said inquiries into how the man died are ongoing.
Officers are appealing to anyone who may have heard any noise or disturbance between 22:30 on Saturday and 10:30 on Sunday around the road.

The secret ingredient in the famous Bakewell pudding recipe will never be revealed, an outgoing staff member has said.
Pauline Dinsdale is retiring after working at the Old Original Bakewell Pudding Shop, in the Derbyshire town, for 21 years.
She had previously managed the shop and more recently, she educated tourists about the delicacy.
When she appeared on BBC Radio Derby, she wouldn't be drawn on the secret ingredient.
"[When I started] I was taken very firmly to one side and impressed with the secrecy of [the recipe]," said Ms Dinsdale.
"We have very bizarre guesses at what the secret ingredient will be. Everything from salt to treacle, honey, really weird things, but we don't tell."
Not to be confused with Bakewell tarts, the puddings have been made in the Peak District town since the 1860s.
It is belived about 8,000 are purchased each week during the summer.
Robert Chaplin was found with critical injuries in a Derbyshire park and died the next day.

The M1 northbound was shut earlier after a trailer carrying cows overturned.
Leicestershire Police said a vet was at the scene between junction 21 for the M69 and junction 21A.
The vehicle connected to the trailer did not overturn and no injuries were reported, the force added.
All lanes have now reopened.

A vegan restaurant in Oadby has closed following the sudden death of 37-year-old chef and founder Bindu Patel.
Sanctua posted a statement on Twitter saying: "It is with great sadness that we inform you that Sanctua will no longer be opening.
"Please all say a prayer for Chef Bee, who sadly passed away on the 24 January 2020."
Ms Patel set up the London Road restaurant in April last year after returning to Leicestershire.
She had previously worked at Michelin-star restaurants, including Gymkhana and Trishna in Mayfair, London.
In June, Sanctua was named Best Vegan Restaurant in the Midlands at the Asian Restaurant Awards.
Ms Patel was also a regular guest on the BBC Radio Leicester Curry Show.
Her friend, George Shaw, said: “Bindu was a talented, intelligent woman. She will be greatly missed."
The cause of her death has not been made public.

Police investigating a serious sexual assault in Leicester have arrested a 27-year-old man.
The attack on a man in his 20s was reported at about 05:00 on Friday.
Police cordoned off a passageway near the city's cathedral.
The arrested man has since been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Tributes have been paid to a non-league footballer who died after he was attacked during a night out.
Jordan Sinnott, who was on loan at Matlock Town, was found unconscious in Market Place, Retford, Nottinghamshire, in the early hours of Saturday.
The 25-year-old suffered a fractured skull and died later that day.
Phil Tooley, a former director of Chesterfield FC, said Mr Sinnott - who played for the club between 2017 and 2018 - was a "lovely lad".
"I was privileged enough to get to know him a bit... he used to light up a room when he came in," Mr Tooley said.
"When you were in his company having a chat, he'd got a twinkle in his eye and always wanted to put a bit of jokey banter into the operation.
"He was a better man than most people who walk the planet."
Two 21-year-old men have been arrested on suspicion of murdering the midfielder.
Another man, 27, who was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, remains in police custody.
Police said they were investigating two "large-scale fights" that took place in the town.
Detectives said they have "unanswered questions" and have appealed to the public for help.

Two people have been taken to hospital after a crash involving two cars on the M1 this morning.
Leicestershire Police, Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service and East Midlands Ambulance Service were called to the southbound carriageway just before junction 22 at about 20:45 last night following the collision.
One of the cars was reported to have broken down prior to the crash and was stationary at the time.
Two were taken to hospital "as a precaution" - no serious injuries were reported, police said.
The road reopened by about 23:20.
