  1. Two fires in the county overnight

    Investigations are under way after two fires in the county overnight.

    One was in a kitchen at the children's adventure-holiday site at Boreatton Park near Baschurch.

    The other was in the bedroom of a derelict cottage on Hadley Road, in Oakengates.

  5. Shropshire MP second in command at health department

    Ludlow MP Philip Dunne has been given a new role in Theresa May's government.

    Mr Dunne has been a minister at the Ministry of Defence for the past four years but has now accepted a new position at the Department of Health.

    He says he's moved to the number two job at the department, under Secretary of State for Health Jeremy Hunt.
