Telford Tigers say they will fight a decision by the English Premier League to exclude them from the end-of-season playoffs.
Representatives of eight other teams in the league met earlier in the week and voted to ban both the Tigers and Manchester Phoenix as a punishment for going into liquidation last year.
They also voted to introduce points penalty for teams which enter administration or liquidation in the future.
The Tigers say the decision is "unlawful and discriminatory" and they plan to meet league officials in the hope of getting the ban withdrawn.
The council gritting lorries are going out again tonight, with temperatures forecast to drop below freezing.
Local authorities say they give priority to main roads and access to important buildings like hospitals.

Recruitment days are going to be held in Shrewsbury, aimed at finding more nurses.

A meeting has been held this afternoon to discuss the pollution in the River Morda.
Shropshire Council says the meeting involved experts from around the country.
Investigations are being carried out what caused the pollution and thousands of fish are believed to have died.

Telford Tigers face big games in the league and the cup this weekend.
