    Nick Southall

    Bucks Head

The Bucks had Paul McCone sent off at 1-0, but assistant manager Larry Chambers says there can be no excuses.

    Quote Message

I think it was a complete and utter capitulation. I think we started the game OK, but once the first goal had gone in, I think we didn't have the fight for it. No heart, no desire, no passion. If you're asking me how it happens I don't know. We've been found wanting everywhere, I can't explain it."

One of the county's senior health administrators says cuts of nearly £18m next year can be achieved without big changes to services.

The Shropshire Clinical Commissioning Group will outline its plans at a public meeting later.

There are 44 GP surgeries in Shropshire making up the Clinical Commissioning Group

Its accountable officer, Simon Freeman, says there's been massive overspending in recent years, but he's confident they've turned a corner.

    Quote Message

It doesn't mean we're not doing hip surgery - it's saying when surgery is the proper intervention for a group of patients they will have proper access to that surgery. This is not about rationing health care, it's about finding more productive ways of getting better patient outcomes."

The decision to grant planning permission for a row of shops in Bridgnorth hasn't gone down well with the people opposing the plans.

    Demonstrators

Today the Shropshire Council planning committee was told by the developer that if the plans weren't approved, it would take away the car parking agreement it had with the town council.
