The Telford Tigers can book their place at the play-off finals in Coventry with victories over Peterborough and Sheffield this weekend.
The top two in their group will qualify and after winning their last three games they know back-to-back wins will send them through.
The players were given a day off in the week after getting home from the midweek Guildford game at 03:00 because of roadworks on the M40.
GP's in Telford will no longer be prescribing medicine that can be bought easily "over the counter" at shops and supermarkets from tomorrow.
The Telford Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) said it often costs the NHS more to buy these medicines than it costs patients and that the money would be better spent on treatments for more serious illnesses.
The CCG also said the move would encourage patients to manage some conditions themselves and allow GPs to spend more time with other patients.
Quote MessageDealing with minor conditions has now become a major issue for the NHS nationally. The cost of treating minor ailments has risen to around £2 billion."

While ordinary fans are able to buy shares in AFC Telford United, the club says "the board’s preference is that several major shareholders will come forward to purchase significant shareholdings".
The board says it will review any applications for more than 50 shares, but it is hoping to find wealthy backers who will "take an active part in running the football club".
It is also dangling the carrot of a place on the board, saying it will look to "appoint additional directors from the new shareholder base".

A march and rally are being organised by Telford and Wrekin Council to protest against the possibility of Telford's A&E being closed overnight.
The authority has also called an extraordinary meeting, for Thursday 6 April, following the decision of the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust to draw up plans for the move, which could be put into action if staffing levels get worse.
The march is expected to take place in Wellington on 23 April.
Quote MessageThis latest plan for overnight closure of the Princess Royal Hospital’s A&E is downgrading this hospital by the back door. This A&E is the busier of the two in Shropshire. We must not let this happen."

AFC Telford United has a number of reasons for selling shares, beyond ensuring their immediate financial security.
The club says it wants to extend the learning centre and also wants to generate extra incomes by hiring additional staff and investing in schemes - although there is no more detail on those plans at this stage.
The other big aims, it says, are to spend money on the football team itself, to help it rise up the divisions and to build stronger relationships with companies which have a presence in Telford.

The pool reopened in 2015 , thanks to the friends group, which was handed a 20-year lease to run it after a leisure company handed back control to the town council three years earlier.
