West Mercia police are investigating allegations of historical sex offences in Shropshire.

It has just announced it is shutting the plant.
And it makes reference to the history of the site, where Abraham Darby first smelted iron with coke.
The AGA Rangemaster company was bought by the American kitchen equipment makers, the Middleby Corportation, for £129m in 2015.
It said at the time that it "recognises the importance of Aga's presence in the United Kingdom and intends to maintain Aga's manufacturing operations in the UK".
AGA has announced it is closing its foundry in Coalbrookdale.
Its foundry in Ketley will continue to make the ovens.
The site has a long association with iron-working and was home to Abraham Darby's furnace at the start of the 18th Century.
The company proudly makes reference, external to the location of the foundry at birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.

AFC Telford United have signed the former Shrewsbury trainee Jasbir Singh.
The 27-year-old goalkeeper has had spells at Kidderminster, Solihull and Gloucester and is the club's seventh signing since the end of the season.
People in Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire are being asked to work together to fight terrorism, in the wake of the Manchester attack.
The Assistant Chief Constable of West Mercia Police, Martin Evans, said: "This is a time for us all to work closely together and unite against those who seek, through violence and extremism, to intimidate or cause fear."
The force says it has increased the number of armed officers on patrol around the three counties, but said there was no intelligence of a likely attack.
It also says it has plans in place, if military personnel have to be deployed alongside armed police.

The Conservative candidate for North Shropshire, Owen Paterson, has denied claims he's been continuing his election campaign, while political opponents pause as a mark of respect for the victims of the Manchester terror attack.
Mr Paterson has been criticised on social media after his leaflets were pushed through doors.
He explained the leaflets are being delivered by Royal Mail and there's no way of stopping them, saying the timing was "highly unfortunate".

One woman in her 30s needed hospital treatment after a four-car crash on the M54 yesterday evening, West Midlands Ambulance Service says.
She was taken in with chest, neck and back pain.
Another woman in her 30s and a man in his 20s were treated for minor injuries at the scene.
The collision happened between junction three, for Albrighton, and two, for Wolverhampton, shortly after 17:40.
Telford's ice hockey teams are drawing up a shortlist of potential names after getting more than 250 suggestions from fans.

Work on the A458 Bridgnorth bypass might be delayed, so it doesn't clash with work at the Onibury level-crossing.
The work at Onibury, being carried out by Network Rail, will involve traffic being taken on a 58-mile (93km) diversion, which includes part of the bypass.
Shropshire Council said it was aware of the possibility of a clash.
There are also overnight closures planned on a 13-mile (21 km) stretch of the A5 between Oswestry and Shrewsbury during the same time period.

The search for a new name for Telford's ice hockey teams is off to a good start, with fans making more than 250 suggestions.
The people running the teams say they had planned to produce a shortlist yesterday evening, to allow fans to vote for one, but have decided to delay that until this evening because of the events in Manchester.
The team used to be known as the Telford Tigers.
But it had to abandon that name when it applied to join the NIHL North division, because the transfer of the naming rights was not completed in time.
The Boathouse pub, in Shrewsbury, was named Shropshire pub of the year at an awards ceremony last night.
The National Pub and Bar awards are run by the Pub and Bar magazine and involve 96 counties. Each one had a winner based on several marks of quality and hospitality.
Landlord of the Boathouse Lee Maddox says it's nice to be recognised by the trade and the hard work of everyone at the pub made it possible.

The return of a mainstream cinema in Oswestry could be getting closer.
Plans are being drawn up to convert an old town centre building in King Street.
A couple of years ago the Cineworld chain pulled out of building a new one as part of the now dormant cattle market development.
The town has a population of 17,000 and already has a community cinema.
Trevor Harris, who ran the town's old Regal in the 1980s and 90s, has been in the business for 60 years and says he is sure it can succeed.
