    It's after a man was killed and 10 others injured after a van was driven into them near Finsbury Park Mosque in north London overnight.

    The forces say they will be "engaging" with Muslim communities to provide reassurance in the aftermath of the attack.

    Artist Edward Bell, who did the artwork for David Bowie's albums Scary Monsters and Tin Machine II, has written a book about their friendship.

    Bell, who has a studio near Ludlow, became friends with Bowie after the star came to an art exhibition in 1980.

    Bell's book, called Unmade Up is published at the end of the month.

    A "personalised service" for victims of hate crime has been launched by police in West Mercia and Warwickshire.

    The forces say they wants to encourage more people affected to come forward after discovering only half of hate crimes are reported to them.

    The scheme sets out the specific role that police officers will play in responding to hate crimes.

    The New Saints will play Gibraltar side Europa FC in the first qualifying round of the Champions League.

    The Oswestry side, representing the Welsh Premier League, are currently on a warm-up tour in Scotland.

    They'll play the first leg at home next Tuesday (27 June) before travelling to Gibraltar the following week for the second leg.

    If they beat Europa FC they'll play Croatian champions, Rijeka, in the second qualifying round.

  5. Love Your Magnificent Severn team near end of five day journey along the River Severnpublished at 11:04 British Summer Time 19 June 2017

    A team from Shropshire Wildlife Trust who have been canoeing along the River Severn in the county for the past five days, are nearing the end of their 77-mile journey today, when they reach Arley.

    They've been collecting records of some of the wildlife along the route including kingfishers, bats and otters.

    Parking machines that issue free tickets start operating in Wellington this morning.

    The idea is to stop people leaving their cars all day and give more spaces to shoppers.

    The machines have been installed in Wellington's Civic and Leisure Centre car park, Naylors Row, Walker Street and Victoria Road North.

    There are no restrictions on drivers with disabilities.

    A large crowd enjoyed a feast of runs at Whitchurch on day one of Shropshire's match against Herefordshire.

    The visitors won the toss and posted 392 all out.

    The Welsh Premier League side's potential opponents include sides from Armenia and Gibraltar.

    Work finally starts on the £20m restoration of one of the county's most important historic buildings today.

    Shrewsbury's flax mill is described as the world's first iron-framed building.

    The project involves turning part of the building into four floors, with a cafe, and an visitor centre.

    It's expected to take three to four years to complete.

  10. A month's rainfall in half an hourpublished at 08:55 British Summer Time 19 June 2017

    Severn Valley Railway was rapidly damaged by the destructive floods that hit the UK in the summer of 2007.

    A freak thunderstorm in the evening only lasted around 30 minutes, but rainfall was equivalent to that of a typical month.

    Embankments collapsed, there was debris below the track and sections of it were "suspended in mid-air".

  11. Severn Valley Railway marks 10 years since floodspublished at 08:39 British Summer Time 19 June 2017

    A special rail service is being put on to thank people who helped rescue a heritage railway 10 years on from the floods that threatened to close it.

    The 16-mile Severn Valley Railway (SVR) was damaged in 45 places, including nine landslips, on 19 June 2007.

    The steam railway, through Shropshire and Worcestershire, fully reopened nine months later, with repairs costing £3.8m.

    SVR members will go on a special return trip from Kidderminster at 11:45.
