A helicopter carrying Professor Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall landed on the sports field in front of hundreds of children at Redhill Primary School, in Telford.
They were mobbed by pupils in Harry Potter themed fancy dress. Later a Hogwarts themed school fete took place.

The MP for Ludlow is demanding full maternity services should be restored in Bridgnorth and Ludlow as soon as possible.
Earlier today he met the chief executive of the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital Trust, Simon Wright, to voice his concerns about the temporary reduction of services at three rural maternity units.
From tomorrow women won't be able to give birth at the units in Ludlow, Bridgnorth and Oswestry - a measure which could be in place for up to six months.
They will still be able to attend antenatal appointments at the maternity units.
New powers are being given to Telford and Wrekin environment officers, to hand out a greater range of fines for littering.
The council says it is also training them to give advice to people on how to dispose of their waste, in the hope that fines can be avoided.
The on-the-spot fines will range from £80 for people who drop litter or fail to pick up after their dog to £400 for fly-tipping.
In the most serious cases, the council says it will take the offenders to court, to look for harsher punishment.
The men who played the Weasley twins in the movie adaptation of the Harry Potter books have recorded a special message for the children at Redhill Primary School in Telford.
It has been holding a Harry Potter themed day and real-life twins James and Oliver Phelps, who played Fred and George (or is it George and Fred?), sent the video from Denver in the United States.

A photo of trees along the river bank in Shrewsbury has attracted national interest, after a local fireman posted it on social media.
Lee Roberts lives near the Severn and says he often goes out taking photos there, but only noticed what he thought looked like a Viking god when he looked at it later.

We've got our first photo of the new £225,000 fire engine that has been delivered to Craven Arms fire station this afternoon.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service says it will allow it to tackle farm and grassland fires in remote areas, because it can carry almost twice as much water as its predecessor.

Image source, Shropshire StarPolice in Warwickshire and West Mercia managed to cut the amount they spent on overtime last year, but it remained over £4.5m, despite cuts to police numbers.
Since 2010, the average spending on overtime for the two forces has been £5.3m, reaching a peak of over £6m in 2011-12.
Since the partnership of the two forces, the number of police officers has fallen by around a quarter, but until last year spending on overtime had remained over £5m a year.
The MP for Telford says amendments to the Queen's Speech put forward by Labour MPs yesterday was "political posturing" and warned there would be "a lot more in this parliament".
Lucy Allan said they were an attempt to "block the government's legislative agenda" and that "defeat for the government would have "risked another general election".
Ms Allan also said that she supported "public sector workers and the great work they do" and that the amendment on public sector pay raised an important issue, but she said the amendment "would not have resulted in a pay increase or any changes to public sector worker pay".
Accident and Emergency cover in Shropshire remains in a "fragile" position, the trust board was told yesterday.
A report to the board, external said "workforce constraints" were to blame.

Children at Redhill Primary School in Telford have been celebrating the 20th anniversary of the first Harry Potter book today.
The children and their teachers dressed up for the occasion and have had a surprise flying visit from Professors Dumbledore and McGonagall, who arrived by helicopter.
The day has been arranged by The Friends of Redhill Primary School and pupils have been raising money for the school.
Blists Hill Victorian Town is hosting its first Steampunk festival this weekend, external, with people paying to turn up in costume, meet artists and take part in themed games.
Steampunk is a branch of science fiction which imagines an alternative Victorian world with versions of modern-day technology.

The new AFC Telford manager Rob Edwards says he wants to make the club one of the best in non-league football.
The former Wolves coach was born and bred in Madeley and used to watch the old Telford United when he was young.
Edwards says he is realistic and realises "you can't change the world in a couple of days", but hopes to be given the time to "build something" at the Bucks Head.

A man is due to appear before Shrewsbury Crown Court on Monday - charged with the murder of 67-year-old Satnam Singh Blugher at Halfway House earlier this week.
His body was found at Tony's Diner on Monday.
Belkar Singh, 58, who's from Halfway House, appeared before Telford magistrates this morning and was remanded in custody.
