    The 27-year-old hasn't been seen for 13 days.

    Police are urging anyone who thinks they've seen Joshua to contact the emergency services rather than approach him themselves.

  6. Paramedics: Rise in attacks on staff fuelled by substances formerly called 'legal highs'published at 17:17 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2016

    There's been an "explosion" in parts of the Midlands in the number of people who've taken substances which used to be called legal highs.

    Police forces are saying there's increasing use, and that, according to West Midlands Ambulance Service, is leading to more attacks on paramedics trying to help those under the influence.

    But many of the traditional methods to treat users don't work because crews don't always know what's in the substances.

    A church pastor from Crewe has been given a 15-month suspended prison sentence for falsely claiming nearly £37,000 in disability benefits.

    51-year-old Stephanie Meakin, from the Church of Abundant Life, said she had mobility issues.

    Liverpool Crown Court heard she happily took part in the hokey-cokey at a church Christmas party.

    The court heard Meakin - who'd pleaded not guilty to dishonestly failing to notify a change in circumstances - claimed the money over 11-and-a-half years up to October 2013, saying she suffered crippling pain.

    A major fire in Stoke-on-Trent last night is being treated as arson.

    More than 30 firefighters were called to Wain Brothers on Leek Road around 23:00.

    A man was left unconscious after an assault outside a pub in Stafford, police say.

    Staffordshire police say the man was found outside the Tap and Spile pub on Friday night.

    He was discovered by friends after he had gone outside for a cigarette but had failed to return after 20 minutes.

    The 40-year-old from Stafford received a head injury during the incident and was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital for treatment, a spokesman said.

    Staffordshire digger firm JCB has announced one of its biggest deals of the year. 

    UK plant hire firm 'A-Plant' has ordered 1,200 machines worth £35m.

    The machines are made at JCB Heavy Products in Uttoxeter, external and the factories in Rocester and Cheadle will manufacture mini excavators, Loadall telescopic handlers and rough terrain fork lift trucks.

    A man from Staffordshire who's paid more than £1,000 for a special chair for his seriously ill wife, says he's relieved a local company is donating one, after delays in delivering the one he ordered. 

    Geoff Perry's wife, Sandra, has terminal cancer and he was worried she may pass away before the chair was delivered. 

    They've been waiting for three months. 

    Geoff, who's from Cellarhead, told says his wife has been very anxious until now.
