    They certainly show us how lucky we are with our big "Suffolk skies".

    Suffolk's cricketers are in a commanding position going into the final day of their Unicorns Championship match, external against Buckinghamshire at Tring Park, leading by 357 runs with three second innings wickets remaining.

    Their advantage is mainly due to 19-year-old Ben Parker hitting his first century for the county. He scored 105 before being stumped.

    Parker said he's had a tough year so far and needed the runs: "I've not really had a great season for Hadleigh, so I should probably apologise to them for scoring some runs for someone else, but yeah I just feel really relieved."

    Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy will be in familiar surroundings tonight as he revisits the club he managed for over five years.

    The Blues face Wolves at Molineux, where both McCarthy and Terry Connor were in charge. 

    Despite the West Midlands club being taken over this summer, they haven't been overly active in the transfer market - a move McCarthy approves of: "It's not suddenly changed, they've not got loads of new players in. 

    "They’ve got two or three, but it's predominantly the players we played against last season."

    The Town boss went on: "It's hard to just turn it around and put all these new players in, that would be a recipe for disaster."

    Town will be without on-loan Everton winger Connor Grant due to a groin injury picked up in training. Strikers Brett Pitman and David McGoldrick will also miss out, as will midfielder Luke Hyam.

    Alfie Lynch, who's 14 and only took up kick-boxing about three months ago, has qualified to represent Team GB after taking part in just one competition.

    He says: "Its amazing considering I'm the one on the team with the least experience. Everything's happened so quickly."

    A young kick-boxer from Brandon, who only took up the sport 12 weeks ago, has qualified to go to South Africa to represent Team GB in kick-boxing in the World Martial Arts Games, external in October.

    Alfie Lynch, 14, had been doing the sport for 10 weeks when he was put into a competition "to see where he was at".

    He says: "I ended up coming away with a third which was a surprise to everyone because I hadn't been doing it that long."

    The Ipswich Star , externaland the East Anglian Daily Times, external both have the headline: "Police in Rio reportedly issue arrest warrant for owner of Ipswich Town Marcus Evans over illegal ticket sales at the Olympics"

    The story also features in the national press.

    The Guardian says, external: "Arrest warrants issued for THG executives over alleged Rio ticket touting," while the Irish Times headline, external reads: "Brazilian police seek second Irish man over Olympics tickets".

    Police in Brazil say Ipswich Town Football Club, external owner, Marcus Evans, "had knowledge of, and contributed to a scheme that involved the illegal selling of tickets at prices well above face value, under the camouflage of hospitality packages".

    He is one of four men who were named by a Brazilian judge yesterday. The quartet work for sports hospitality group, THG Sports, external.

    THG has called the allegations unfounded. We have contacted Ipswich Town for a response.

  14. Brazilian judge orders arrest of Marcus Evanspublished at 08:02 British Summer Time 16 August 2016

    A Brazilian judge has ordered the arrest of four sports hospitality executives, including the owner of Ipswich Town Football Club, Marcus Evans. The quartet are alleged to have resold tickets for Rio 2016 illegally.

    The other men, who along with Mr Evans all work for THG Sports, external, were named as Martin Studd from the UK, Irishman David Patrick Gilmore and Dutchman Maarten Van Os.

    None of the four is believed to be in Brazil and police there have said they will pursue the matter with Interpol.

    THG said the allegations against it were "entirely without foundation".

    Football fans heading to the Ipswich-Norwich derby this Sunday are being warned of road closures and traffic congestion around Portman Road.

    Suffolk police is asking fans to allow extra time for journeys to and from the stadium, and to follow the directions of stewards and police officers at the ground. Turnstiles and stadium bars will be open from 10:00-10:30, ahead of the midday kick-off.

  19. Man airlifted to hospital after fallpublished at 17:41 British Summer Time 15 August 2016

    A man's been airlifted to Addenbrooke's Hospital after a fall in Ipswich this afternoon. 

    He was taken by land ambulance to Christchurch Park and then transferred to the air ambulance. 

    Police say he fell down at stairwell at the Cumberland Towers block of flats in Norwich Road. 

    It's believed he has life-threatening injuries.
