    There'll be plenty of sunshine to end the day and then a dry night with some isolated mist and fog patches.

    Tomorrow will be another fine and dry day with plenty of sunshine.

    Temperatures are expected to climb to about 23C (73F). It will be a few degrees cooler on the coast with an on-shore easterly wind, light to moderate in strength.

    A footballer who lost both legs in a hit-and-run crash has spoken out about the driver responsible. 

    Newmarket Town's Shaun Whiter was helping friend Joey Abbs, a Soham Town Rangers player, change a tyre near Newmarket when his legs were crushed by an oncoming vehicle.

    Jan Adamec, 40, of Haverhill, admitted causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He is on remand and will be sentenced in September.

    Mr Whiter also told BBC Look East about his hopes of reaching the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.

    Returning now to the death of former Ipswich Town footballer Dalian Atkinson, another of his team-mates at Portman Road has been giving us his reaction to the news.

    He said it was a "massive shock" to hear of the former striker's death, and described him as "such a bubbly character".

    He added: He was very talented, very outgoing, an exceptional footballer on his day, and larger than life.

    "As a player he lifted fans, he had blistering pace, and scored an amazing hat-trick against 'Boro - he absolutely ran riot."

    Dalian Atkinson's nephew, Fabian Atkinson, has told reporters there needs to be a rethink of the way tasers are used.

    He told reporters in Telford that he was "angry, frustrated, annoyed and overwhelmed" by the death and revealed his uncle had been undergoing dialysis treatment and had a weak heart.

    Fabian Atkinson said it should be mandatory that an ambulance is sent out whenever a taser is deployed, in case a medical problem developed.

    West Midlands Ambulance Service crews were called by police after they had tasered Dalian Atkinson.

    "As he was being conveyed to Princess Royal Hospital, his condition deteriorated and he went into cardiac arrest," a spokesman for the service said.

    "Despite the efforts of the crew and hospital staff, it was not possible to save him and he was confirmed dead at hospital, shortly after arrival."

    Neighbours said he was a frequent visitor to the house where he grew up.

    "It's a close-knit community. I just can't bear to think what his family are going through."

    As you will have seen we are concentrating today on the news former Ipswich Town footballer Dalian Atkinson has died after being shot with a Taser by police in Shropshire.  

    Telford resident Paula Quinn, who lives in a first-floor flat, told the Shropshire Star, external she had witnessed the Taser being fired after hearing shouting.

    "I stuck my head out the window to look out and I saw two police officers shouting at the gentleman and he sort of was stumbling towards them and the police officers warned him they would Taser him, but he just seemed a bit, perhaps, inebriated," she said.

    "And because he continued to step forward once or twice - non-threatening - they deployed the Taser. As the Taser hit him in the stomach he just went 'doof', down like a lead balloon."

    Atkinson began his career with Ipswich Town, scoring 18 goals before catching the eye of Ron Atkinson at Sheffield Wednesday.

    After making him a £450,000 signing for the Owls in 1989, Big Ron signed him for a second time, taking him to Aston Villa for £1.6m in 1991 - following a season in between at Real Sociedad.
