The death of US airman Joshua Wikston is being treated as "unexplained, but not suspicious."
The 33-year-old was found dead at his home in Mundford, Norfolk on Friday morning.
Staff Sgt Wikston was a technician who helped to maintain the USAF's F-15 Eagle jets at RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk.
A spokesman for the base said there was "no indication" the incident is linked in any way with the recent attempted abduction of a British airman near RAF Marham.
