It's got me wondering if we've ever had an entrant from Suffolk?

Can you help, and if not, is there anyone you think would have been a worthy competitor?

Send us an email, or post a message on our Facebook page, external.

I'll share a secret with you. My son said recently that I ought to enter, but I think he was just dropping a hint that he'd like me to bake him a cake.

And no, I'd never put myself through that sort of stress.

This year's Spill Festival opened, external in Ipswich last night, and I went along to the Dome (a temporary structure that's been put up on Cromwell Square), where I saw a couple of "durational" pieces, which means you can dip in and out rather than feel you need to watch the whole three hours.

I stopped to watch Ocean Island Mine, where Latai Taumoepeau steadily moved a large pile of ice from one side of the Willis building to the other, the iconic black glass providing the perfect backdrop:

  10. Network Rail: Upgrade work is best done when lines are less busypublished at 11:05 British Summer Time 27 October 2016

Steve Hooker, area director of Network Rail, external, explains why there'll be a shutdown of rail services over Christmas.

"It's a quiet time- with only around 50% of the normal numbers of passengers traveling - so carrying out this important work at this time affects the least amount of people... we have to get this work done and it's best to do at times when the lines are less busy," he said.

The work is not just for Crossrail and the remodelling of the Shenfield junction, said Mr Hooker, but also to speed up trains that run on the main lines from Norfolk.

There's a huge amount of work to be done, says Mr Hooker: "The list is pretty long, but we're getting through it and appreciate people's patience while we get on with it."

    Quote Message

We need to bring the railway up to the standards and reliability that people expect. The journey is a little more difficult at the weekends with bus replacements, but it's still possible to travel around."

When there is engineering work, says Ms Todd, they can end up getting stuck.
