    Two people have been taken to hospital in a "serious" condition after a house fire in Lowestoft.

    About 20 firefighters were called to the incident in Stanley Street just after 01:00.

    Crews spent two hours tackling the blaze and the investigation team remains at the scene this morning.

    Area commander Ian Bowell, who was in charge of the operation, said firefighters forced their way through the front door and ground-floor window to rescue the two people.
