Mark Horsfield is stuck on the train which has broken down.

"I caught the 06:44 from Ipswich all was going well and then it just ground to a very sudden halt," he told BBC Suffolk just after 09:00.

"I'm not in London where I should have been at 07:50, I'm still stuck on the train, we haven't moved.

"There's the usual confusion, lots of apologies - but we don't want an apology, we want to know when we're going to get to where we need to be."

Mr Horsfield believed the train had come to a halt due a malfunction.

"They've said the train can only move in one direction, which is northbound, so they're proposing to go back to Chelmsford and we would have to continue our journey from there.

"I've been commuting for 20 years, things can go wrong and when they do it's a real test of ability.

"I've experienced a few issues while commuting, but this is a particularly bad one.

"We keep being told the rise in fares is being invested back in the railway, but I'm talking to you from a carriage I travelled on about 30 years ago - so where is that investment?"

  14. Antiques Roadshow: Advice if you're planning to visit Helminghampublished at 13:48 British Summer Time 29 August 2017

If you're planning to go along to Helmingham Hall on Thursday, to meet up with some of the experts from the BBC's Antiques Roadshow, executive producer Simon Shaw has some advice for you about the type of item to bring for expert consideration.

    Helmingham Hall

Mr Shaw said: "About the only thing we're not as well prepared to be able to challenge is books and books of stamps, they tend to be very complicated, very specialist and can take a very, very long time so unfortunately stamps are difficult for us.

"Coins is another field we tend to not dip in to.

"If it's a piece of furniture you'd struggle to bring, take a photograph, take a photograph of the details.

"Our experts are well used to being able to come to some sort of conclusions by looking at photographs."

He also said the big surprises that happen at the middle and end of the show are often items people pick up at the last minute to bring along "so when you're packing the pieces you're thinking of bringing on Thursday, that last item may just be the one that breaks the bank".

  15. New detectives in the makingpublished at 13:20 British Summer Time 29 August 2017

More than 200 people have applied to join Suffolk Police's detective recruitment scheme.

    Police HQ

It gives people the chance to train with CID after 20 weeks with the force, rather than spending two years in uniform first.

The force says it's partly to address a shortage of detectives, and partly to bring in people with specialist skills and experience.

Det Supt Andy Smith says 44 are being taken to the next stage of the detective process: "That's no detriment or slight on other applicants - 102 are eligible and have been invited to apply for the standard uniform entry.

"We're not as a force looking to dispense with traditional entry routes into CID so once they've finished their two-years probationary period they could, in theory, apply across into the CID.

"We're really really pleased with the uptake."
