    BBC Travel

If you're heading out into North Yorkshire this morning, here's the latest travel news:

On the roads, two lanes are currently blocked and there's queuing traffic on the A1(M) southbound between J49, A168 (Dishforth) and J48, A168 (Boroughbridge), because of an accident involving a lorry and two cars.

The A1036 Paragon Street in York is currently closed in both directions between George Street and Barbican Road due to water main work.

And the A659 Bridge Street in Tadcaster is still closed in both directions due to long-standing repairs on the bridge.

Meanwhile, trains in and out of York Railway Station are currently running to schedule, according to the station's live departure board, external.

I'll be with you until 14:30 with all the latest news, travel, sport and weather from across North Yorkshire.

In the national news this morning, MPs warn the number of warships available to the Royal Navy is "pathetically low" and Britain's naval strength is insufficient to face potential threats.

And locally, plans could  be on the way for a major shake-up of health services in North Yorkshire. More on that later...

In the meantime, we'd love to see your pics like this unusual shot of a seagull sent in by Terence P from Harrogate.
