After this stop, the baton will continue on to Penicuik Rosewell, Bonnyrigg, Newtongrange, Gorebridge, Mayfield, Easthouses, Newbattle and Dalkeith.
BBC Scotland's Graham Stewart reports: Actor Brian Cox has been joking with photographers as he stood with the baton for a photoshoot. Someone shouted: "Don't be scared of us!", to which Brian responded: "Oh, I'm not scared off you lot - I know what you're like!"

The 15th Century chapel, external has been a popular destination for visitors for hundreds of years, but its popularity greatly increased after the publication of Dan Brown's novel The Da Vinci Code.
The family-owned chapel was founded in 1446 as a place of worship and services continue to be held there weekly.

Bryan then passed on the baton to Alison Wyllie.
If you are watching the video stream above, you will see police officers in blue T-shirts who are looking after the baton during its relay throughout Scotland.
Alison is one of these special officers, and she chose to celebrate her turn with the baton by doing a figure of eight with her fellow officers.
Eleanor Dalgetty is pictured handing the baton to Bryan Finlay. Eleanor is president of Eskvale Hockey Club and was awarded an MBE for her voluntary work within the community.

The baton relay is now in Loanhead, with Thomas Allan bearing the baton.
That was a very emotional moment for baton bearer Ellen. She wiped tears from her eyes as she carried the baton outside the Midlothian Sports Centre.

The baton will shortly leave Midlothian Snowsports Centre to the sounds of the pipes and drums and make the short trip to Loanhead.
The baton has made a fantastic entrance to Midlothian Snowsports Centre, as a snowboarder and then a skier bring it down the slope in bright sunshine.
