    SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon has declared victory in the Scottish Parliament election.

    The SNP had won 54 seats by 05:15, and look on course for a second successive majority at Holyrood.

    Scottish Conservative deputy leader Jackson Carlaw has predicted his party is going to finish second, ahead of Labour.
