    Plaid Cymru's Arfon AM, Sian Gwenllian, has strongly criticised the DUP, the party from Northern Ireland which will support Theresa May's Conservatives and allow her to form a government.

    Ms Gwenllian described the DUP as "anti-abortion, anti-LGBT rights and climate change deniers".

    Ouch, it was a tough night for the Liberal Democrats - the party has no MP in Wales for the first time since it formed in 1859.

    The only Lib Dem MP, Mark Williams, was defeated in Ceredigion.

    The Welsh Liberal Democrats have previously boasted on their website: "The Welsh Liberal Democrats have the deepest roots of any Welsh political party."
