Scott Fletcher murder probe: Two further arrests made

Police have spoken to more than 300 people as part of their investigation into the disappearance of Scott Fletcher

Police have made two further arrests in connection with the suspected murder of a 27-year-old Hartlepool man who has been missing since May 2011.

Scott Fletcher was last seen in a lay-by opposite the Jet garage on the A181 at Wheatley Hill, near Durham.

Five men have already been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and are currently on bail.

Two other men, aged 31 and 32, have now been arrested on the same charge and have also been bailed.

Det Supt Jon Green of Cleveland Police said: "Scott's family has been informed of the arrests. However, I would like to stress that a body has not yet been located."
