It's been a tough few months for Scotland manager Steve Clarke, trying to put together his final Euro 2024 squad.

Aaron Hickey, Nathan Patterson and Lewis Ferguson were all ruled out of Euro 2024 through injury - and strikers Lyndon Dykes and Ben Doak have also had to withdraw from the squad in the past couple of weeks.

So who's in the Scotland squad for this summer's tournament?

Here are the players selected for Euro 2024.

The Liverpool left-back became Scotland men's national team's most capped captain earlier this month, wearing the armband for the 49th time in a 2-2 draw with Finland.

An important part of the Liverpool defence, Andy's known for his hard work, pace and energy.

The Arsenal defender has spent the past year on loan with Spanish side Real Sociedad, however his season has been affected by injuries.

At 27 years old, he has already played 45 times for Scotland and offers the team a real defensive presence.

Jack Hendry

Jack Hendry has just completed his first season in the Saudi Pro League with Al-Ettifaq - whose manager is the former Rangers boss Steven Gerrard.

He's been capped 31 times after making his senior debut in 2018, and Euro 2024 will be his second European Championship.

The Watford centre-half represented Scotland at under-19, under-20 and under-21 levels before making his first appearance with the senior team in 2022.

He made an impressive debut, helping Scotland clinch promotion to the top tier of the Nations League and he also started all but the last of the matches in their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign.

Liam Cooper

Liam Cooper received his first call-up to the senior Scotland squad in 2016, but it was more than three years before he finally made his debut in 2019.

The Leeds United captain narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier League last month, after his team lost the Championship play-off final against Southampton at Wembley Stadium.

Scott McKenna

At the start of the year, Nottingham Forest centre-back Scott McKenna joined FC Copenhagen on loan until the end of the season, where he was commended for his calm and mature style of play.

The 27-year-old is now a free agent after his Forest contract expired, following a four-year spell at the Premier League club where he made 106 appearances and helped them win promotion from the Championship during the 2021-22 campaign.

Grant Hanley

Norwich captain Grant Hanley has had a frustrating season after only being involved in a handful of games recently after returning from a long-term Achilles injury.

The centre-back appeared in all three group matches for Scotland at Euro 2020 and will be hoping to be fit in time to do the same at this summer's tournament.

Greg Taylor

After playing for the Scotland under-20 and under-21 teams, Greg made his full senior international debut in June 2019.

The left-back is known for his technical ability and is one of the more experienced heads in the Premiership champions dressing room, with over 120 Celtic caps to his name.

Anthony Ralston

Anthony made his senior international debut in 2021, and has featured in eight games since then for the Tartan Army.

Despite limited game time at Celtic this season, injuries to Nathan Patterson and Aaron Hickey have helped the 25-year-old secure his place in the squad to fill the right-back position for Steve Clarke's side.

Ross McCrorie

Ross McCrorie earned his first senior cap for Scotland after playing the entire 90 minutes in their friendly victory over Gibraltar earlier this month.

The 26-year-old has recently become a regular for Bristol City, showing his versatility by filling in at right-back, wing-back and central defence.

Celtic captain Callum McGregor came through the youth system at the club and has represented Scotland at every youth level from under-15s and up.

He has made more than 300 appearances for the Glasgow side and his experience playing for club and country will be an advantage to the Scotland squad this summer.

The Bournemouth midfielder has made 49 international appearances since his senior Scotland debut in 2017.

The 29-year-old could reach the milestone of 50 caps for Scotland on the opening day of Euro 2024, when the Tartan Army take on hosts Germany in Munich.

Billy Gilmour

He's one of Scotland's biggest young talents and is sure to be a key player for the Tartan Army in Germany.

His confidence and passing ability means the 23-year-old midfielder has been chosen to represent his country for the second time at the European Championship tournament.

John McGinn

The Villa captain is known for his strength, power and never give up attitude.

With 66 senior caps to his name, the 29-year-old is the most capped Scotland player at Euro 2024 after captain Andy Robertson.

Kenny McLean

Kenny has represented Scotland at all levels and made his senior debut eight years ago.

He has also been ever-present for Norwich in the league this year, starting every regular season match and helping the Canaries to reach the Championship play-off semi-finals.

Scott McTominay

Manchester United Scott McTominay was his country's top scorer during their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign, helping the Tartan Army reach their second European Championship in a row.

The 27-year-old scored seven goals - with only Lukaku, Kane and Ronaldo scoring more.

Stuart Armstrong

There was a doubt hanging over Stuart Armstrong's place in the squad, as the midfielder hasn't played since being carried off on a stretcher during a Southampton match in April.

He recently became a free agent after six years with the Saints and won his 50th cap for Scotland earlier this year.

Ryan Jack

Ryan Jack started his international career playing for various Scotland teams at youth level - in fact he regularly captained the under-21 team and is one of the top 10 most capped players for the national team at that level.

He helped Scotland qualify for Euro 2020, but missed the finals due to injury, so no doubt will be wanting to impress at his first European Championship in Germany.

Che has had a successful year with Southampton, scoring 16 times in the Championship to help the Saints make a return to the Premier League next season.

Euro 2024 will be his second European Championship with Scotland, after he played in all three of the Tartan Army's group matches at the last Euros.

Tommy Conway

Tommy Conway was a late addition to Steve Clarke's side, following injuries to Lyndon Dykes and Ben Doak.

He received his first call-up to the senior national team earlier this month, making his full international debut a few days later in Scotland's pre-Euro 2024 friendly against Finland.

James Forrest

Celtic winger James Forrest has been recalled to the national side nearly three years since his last international appearance.

His recent run of form for Celtic helped the Hoops win the double this season - clinching both the League and Scottish Cup.

Lewis Morgan

The New York Red Bulls winger was a shock late call-up to the squad following injuries to forwards Lyndon Dykes and Ben Doak.

The 27-year-old has impressed in the MLS, scoring nine goals and three assists in the opening 16 games.

Lawrence Shankland

In form-striker Lawrence Shankland finished as the Premiership's top goalscorer, helping Hearts book a top-three finish in the table.
