James Howells claims that he lost £620m-worth of Bitcoin

James Howells is a computer engineer from Newport in Wales.

He claims that he lost £620m-worth of Bitcoin when his ex-girlfriend accidentally threw away his computer drive.

After the drive was thrown away, it travelled with other rubbish to a landfill - a site where waste and rubbish is disposed of.

Mr Howells believes he knows which landfill it is and now wants to buy it so he can search.

Originally Mr Howells tried to get permission to search the site by taking the local council who own it to court.

He also asked for £495m in compensation if he wasn't allowed access. However, a court dismissed him.

He is now looking to buy the landfill site which holds more than 1.4 tonnes of waste.

So, how far would you go if you accidentally lost some money? Would you search through the bin? And how much money would it have to be for you to do that? Let us know in the comments below.
