Some of your favourite shows have gone head to head for the National Television Awards 2025.

The awards - also known as the NTAs - celebrate the best TV from the past year, from dramas to quiz shows and even talent shows.

Probably the biggest shock of the night came from the TV presenter category.

Ant and Dec have won that award for the last 23 years running, but last night that winning streak was broken by former Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker.

The former England striker Gary Lineker presented the football highlights show for 26 years before leaving at the end of the Premier League season in May.

A vote from viewers saw him beat the presenting pair Ant and Dec to the trophy.

Elsewhere, Strictly Come Dancing picked up the award for best talent show.

It waltzed past tough competition from the likes of The Great British Bake Off, The Voice UK, The Great Pottery Throw Down and Britain's Got Talent talent to win for the tenth year running.

The Masked Singer was in the running for the best entertainment show, which is named the Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award.

But it was Michael McIntyre's Big Show that came out on top in that category.

Following on from a year which saw the return of the villain Feathers McGraw, Wallace and Gromit also got a trophy - the special recognition award.
