France have won the 2025 Six Nations Rugby tournament

France have been crowned the 2025 Six Nations champions after three nail-biting games on Saturday.

It's the 19th time they've won the competition, and they lifted the trophy in capital city Paris after their win against Scotland.

They faced a tough fight from the Scottish side, but France ultimately overpowered them to bring home the trophy.

And it was a sad night for English fans, as their team would have won the tournament if France had lost their match against Scotland.

The French side broke multiple records this year

France scored four tries during the game, which was not only a thrilling way to end the competition, but meant over their five games they scored 30 in total, breaking a Six Nations record.

Another record was broken by French wing Louis Bielle-Biarrey who scored eight tries throughout the tournament, breaking Ireland's Jacob Stockdale's record of seven tries from 2018.

England finished only one point behind France in the final table

In the first match on Saturday, Ireland beat Italy in Rome, giving them a chance at securing a tournament win if both England and France lost their matches.

Wales faced England next, with England thrashing the Welsh side in their home stadium in Cardiff and dashing Ireland's hopes.

England then had high hopes of winning the Six Nations as their win against Wales secured them a top spot on the table.

But they needed Scotland to defeat France.

It was not to be as France put the work in for a triumphant win over the Scottish side.

They triumphed, even without their much-loved captain Antoine Dupont who had been injured in the team's previous match against Ireland.
