Sunderland are going back up to the Premier League

Teenager Tommy Watson scored a 95th-minute winner to send Sunderland up to the Premier League, beating Sheffield United in the Championship play-off final at Wembley Stadium.

The goal is the 19-year-old's last for Sunderland before he joins Brighton and Hove Albion next season.

With the scores level at 1-1 late in the match, Sunderland were second best for much of the game.

Having used all five substitutes, Sheffield United were temporarily down to 10 men after defender Anel Ahmedhodžić went off with a head injury.

It was then that Watson took advantage in the most dramatic way, scoring the winner.

The win sees Sunderland promoted alongside Leeds and Burnley who went up automatically thanks to their league positions of first and second respectively.

Following the game, Tommy Watson reflected on a special last match for Sunderland.

"I'm really happy that it's going to end positively and this monster of a club is back where it belongs," he said.

"It's been tough, but I've learned so much from it. I knew something like that could happen. So I'm just buzzing."
