What would your message to the universe be?

Have you ever wanted to send a message to space? Well, now you can!
A theme park in Blackpool is offering the public the chance to see their personal messages broadcast all the way to space.
The messages will be played out way above the Earth on specially designed screens.
Blackpool Pleasure Beach have teamed up with scientists to make it happen, and they want to hear from you.

'A message to the universe'

Blackpool Pleasure Beach
The team at the theme park are looking for submissions from people of all ages, and hope to include everything from "secrets, to big reveals, or even just funny one-liners".
But, for space-fans, your cosmic message could even be to alien life, a dream you want to wish upon the stars, or just a message you want to shout across space.
The team say that want to hear from "thrillseekers and thrillseekers-in-training to film a message to the universe that we'll play out on our screen in space".
How will it work?
You might be expecting a rocket-launch, but it's actually a big weather balloon that will carry the messages into the night sky.
The plan is to use a hydrogen-filled high-altitude balloon to launch the screen 110,000ft above the Earth's surface - around three times higher than a plane goes.
The balloon will reach what's called the 'stratosphere', which is the second layer of the Earth's atmosphere.
From up there it's high enough to see the curve of our Earth and the darkness of space, although it's not quite as far as astronauts travel.
The messages will be launched on 15 August.
If you had the chance, what would you message to the universe be?
