Israel-Gaza war: Why there is a problem with aid for Gaza

The war in Gaza has been going on for 6 months. It started in October when a Palestinian armed group, called Hamas, crossed into Israel from Gaza in a surprise attack. Israel responded by invading Gaza.

Civilians in Gaza have been going short of basic items they need.

On Tuesday charity workers taking aid into the country were attacked in an Israeli strike.

Israel's leaders say the attack was not deliberate and will do everything to make sure it doesn't happen again.
