James Cook picks up a first down to end the quarter and what Buffalo do next could have a huge say in deciding the entire game, as Kansas City had been purring along powerfully with Buffalo very much on the back foot.

But if Josh Allen gets a touchdown and the lead now that'll be a huge kick in the teeth for Patrick Mahomes and company.

Ed Oliver understood he needed to get that ball to turn the tide. Kansas City looked like they were completely in control of this game but all it takes is one play, all it takes is one mistake. They got away with one, but not the other.

Wow! That's a botched exchange between Patrick Mahomes and his running back, as Mahomes looks to keep the ball on the option and again he puts the ball on the floor.

Mahomes dives on the ball but Ed Oliver is there for Buffalo to rip it from him and the Bills get the ball.

It's a first turnover by the Chiefs for eight games, and 501 plays - since their Week 11 loss in Buffalo in fact and that could be a massive momentum shift as the Chiefs were flying.

Xavier Worthy gets another flat pass and uses that exceptional speed of his to race down the sideline for eight yards.

A reminder the Bills traded with Kansas City so they could draft Worthy...

Oh man...Patrick Mahomes fumbles the ball under pressure and it looks like the Bills have recovered...

BUT there's a flag on the play and it's on Buffalo for offsides, and not only do the Chiefs keep the ball but they get a first down as well!

And before you start about the refs, that's the right call.

The Chiefs will always find a way to put you in boxes and if you make mistakes, they are going to take advantage of them. If you don't play ahead of the sticks and you are playing behind the sticks, they will take full advantage of that.

Buffalo get a few yards back on third down and that brings Tyler Bass into manageable range so he can slot home a 53-yarder.

Still a few nerves it seems with Josh Allen but he's got some points on the board now and that should settle him down.

Maybe Josh Allen is still abit nervous as he drops the snap from his centre as he's already looking at where he'll throw the ball - but he's able to drop on the loose ball to maintain possession.

Bufalo have been excellent in not commiting turnovers this season but they're just threatening to give some away tonight.

A lot better stuff from Josh Allen here with a nice throw to Amari Cooper and then their own tush push to drive over from a yard to convert on third down.

We've seen enough tush pushes in the last game...

Josh Allen is the all-time post-season leader in touchdown-to-interception ratio (23-4), interception rate (0.9%), total yards per game (313.9) and total touchdowns/game (2.5).

But he'd swap all that for Patrick Mahomes' 16-3 record in the play-offs compared to his 7-5...

Five runs, four passes and great balance in that Chiefs drive. Some nice passes, a nice catch and run and finished off with a tough running touchdown from Kareem Hunt.

That's a scary opening drive to watch if you're a Buffalo Bills fan - especially after watching Josh Allen looking so nervy on that first drive.

JuJu Smith-Schuster hasn't had a huge season by any means, but that's a huge 32-yard catch and run from the former Steelers wideout.
