The pressure is on in Jacksonville with the Jaguars sitting at 1-4 and struggling on both sides of the ball - piling pressure on head coach Doug Pederson.

Last week's win was their first of the season and just their second in 11 games - and after handing Trevor Lawrence was handed a bumper new contract in the summer, the QB is also under pressure to deliver.

They won both games in London last year which kick-started a five-game winning run. They'll hope history repeats itself this year.

Over the past couple of years, Trevor Lawrence has been able to get comfortable. Now he has a lot of weapons and he's not just leaning on the defence to be successful.

Now it's going to be whether he is a game manager or can he go and win games for Jacksonville as an elite quarterback?

It's a special thing, your family and friends are there at the draft and you enjoy that moment, but it's a lot of weight on those shoulders.

Caleb Williams and Trevor Lawrence, being quarterbacks, have that much more pressure because they want this team to be theirs and turn the tide.

They're being picked that high to be the best.

Chicago Bears team president Kevin Warren speaking to BBC Sport: "I’m very pleased with the team’s direction, the way that it’s coming together. We’ve played well, we’ve played hard, and we're getting better each week.

"It was great to see Caleb Williams and DJ Moore really connect last week for those two touchdowns, to see Keenan Allen come back and D'Andre Swift run well. The [offensive] line is coming together and the defence has been great all year.

"We have a lot of young talent, with some rookies playing some key roles, and that’s what you want to have. We have all the elements in place, so it's exciting. The future is bright this year, and also for the next couple of years.

"This is going to be a rookie class - along with last year’s - where you look back and say ‘this was the foundation that set the tone for many years of success’. We have a great mixture of veteran leadership so now the biggest thing is to keep working hard and if we can stay healthy, and continually grow and build as a team, this is an exciting football team that has great personality and energy."

Caleb Williams has been answering a lot of the questions he had. In the first two weeks we were looking at him and going: 'I don't really know'.

But in the past three weeks he has taken his game to a completely different level.

Trevor Lawrence, in the first couple of weeks, played badly. They gave him all of this money during the off-season and people were scratching their heads saying: 'Why did they do that?!'

Last week he showed why. He's back here in London, I think he's going to take his game to the next level here and we're going to see the Trevor Lawrence that we've all been expecting to see since he was drafted number one overall.

It's been a tough start for Caleb Williams, but he's been finding his feet and arrives in London fresh off his best game of the season.

Williams threw for 304 yards and two touchdowns in a 36-10 win over the Carolina Panthers.

He has five touchdowns and no interceptions in his past three games, and his 126.2 passer rating against Carolina was the best by a Bears rookie since at least 1970.

Despite being optimistic Louis Rees-Zammit can forge a successful career in the NFL, Scott Pioli believes there will come a time when the former Wales winger will need to decide whether or not to go back to rugby union.

Pioli worked with Rees-Zammit on the NFL's International Player Pathway programme, which provides a route into the sport for players later in their career.

He has been impressed by the 23-year-old's "humility" and eagerness to learn despite the success he has already enjoyed on the rugby pitch.

“It’s going to be tough for him but he’s going to have to make a decision because of his age how much more can he pursue this before his window in rugby closes," he added.

"I still think he has a chance to develop so I wouldn’t be surprised if he has an opportunity somewhere else.”

I’m super excited for this game. It’s been great to see Caleb Williams, over the past few weeks, kind of stacking those bricks, right. He's getting better and better each game, and it's been nice to see his confidence building.

It's always exciting to have a game at Tottenham and I think a lot of people are wanting to see Caleb Williams in real life, to see him play. I think this will be a much better game than we were anticipating a couple of weeks ago.

Today sees two number one draft-pick quarterbacks go head to head in Trevor Lawrence and Caleb Williams.

Rookie Williams joined the Bears under the weight of expectation and after a tough opening three games has started to show why they took him ahead of Jayden Daniels, who has made a great start to the season at the Washington Commanders.

"I think he's doing a really good job," former Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew told BBC Sport.

"When you talk about the Chicago Bears, you have to talk about their defence first.

"Their defence does a great job in allowing Caleb to learn on the fly. When you have a strong defence and you have a number one overall pick, he needs time to make mistakes and learn.

"Now the offence is starting to pay dividends on the field, it's going to be a tough challenge, Chicago Bears versus the Jaguars. I think it's going to be a great game."

Former Wales international Louis Rees-Zammit's journey across from rugby union to the NFL captured the imagination of British fans this summer.

The former Gloucester winger joined up with reigning Super Bowl winners Kansas City Chiefs and star quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the summer but was dropped from the roster ahead of the season.

Soon after he joined the Jaguars' practice squad and though he will play no part against the Bears today, former Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli believes he could yet forge a career in the NFL.

"He could have stayed the track that he was on and earned a lot of money, a lot of attention but he had this other burning desire, and it wasn’t just to prove something, he genuinely loves football - loves rugby, too - to watch him make the sacrifice and do something that was in his heart and make the choice that he did was really impressive," Pioli told BBC Sport.

"I just think he’s a wonderful young man."

Louis Rees-Zammit is part of the Jacksonville Jaguars set-up but only on the practice squad as he continues to learn the ropes.

He has had some decent praise for his ability though, as we'll look at in a bit, so as he talks with Roger Goodell maybe he's thinking this time next year he could be back in London with the Jags - only this time in his pads.

Chicago Bears team president Kevin Warren speaking to BBC Sport: "There's so many similarities between the history and tradition of London and the Chicago Bears, which is a founding franchise of the NFL, so it's exciting to be here.

"As you walk down the street you see people with Bears gear on, and when someone says 'Bear Down', it's special. It shows that the world we live in is small and we're trying to make it even smaller, to show that we have an international brand.

"We're trying to grow internationally and we've been doing lots of work in the UK, and Spain also, through flag football and youth camps. It's also great to provide everyone in our organisation - our fans, players, coaches, staff, alumni - a chance to travel abroad.

"I think the UK fans will love watching Caleb Williams and DJ Moore, and being able to sing our Bear Down fight song, which is absolutely awesome. I hope we hear that a lot today."

The Jaguars got their first win of the season against the Colts last week and former running back Maurice Jones-Drew expects to see his old team kick on, starting here in London today.

"I love it. They play so well here, they're committed to playing in the UK which I thought is an awesome thing. It's more of a home field advantage than a disadvantage," he told BBC Sport after watching his son play for De La Salle Spartans against the NFL Academy at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Tuesday.

"It's not really how you start, it's how you finish in the NFL. You obviously want to start fast so you can get some things going.

"I think they'll be fine, last year they came here in a bit of a rut and got rolling over here and then took it back to the States so I hope they do that again."
