  1. Packers puntpublished at 18:26 GMT 27 November

Green Bay Packers 3-0 Detroit Lions

Another big hit, this time from Detroit's Terrion Arnold on Chris Brooks, stops the Packers in their tracks on third down so Dan Whelan has to punt it away.

It's a nice return from Tom Kennedy for Detroit though, who runs it back 21 yards to the Detroit 37.

Ouch! Goff smashed!published at 18:20 GMT 27 November

Green Bay Packers 3-0 Detroit Lions

Ouch! Jared Goff takes a big hit as the Packers blitz gets home on third down - he just about manages to get the ball moving forward to release it as an incomplete pass and avoid the sack.

But that was a big hit - his turkey may taste a little funny later on after that.

And it's a three and out that signals where Detroit may have problems tonight, thanks to a banged-up offensive line going up against Micarh Parsons and a really fierce Packers defensive front.

  3. Goff likes Thanksgivingpublished at 18:17 GMT 27 November

Green Bay Packers 3-0 Detroit Lions

Jared Goff likes playing on Thanksgiving, with two touchdown passes, no interceptions and a passer rating of 95 or better in each of his four starts, and he also has two or mote touchdown passes in all of his past four home games against the Packers.

Here comes the Lions offence, with Jahmyr Gibbs coming off a huge game against the Giants on Sunday - with a career-high 11 receptions, a career-best 264 scrimmage yards (219 rushing, 45 receiving) and three touchdowns (two rushing, one receiving)

With 44 career touchdowns Gibbs has the second-most by a player under the age of 24 in NFL history, behind only Hall of Famer and former Lions running back Barry Sanders (47).

Jordan Love follows up that miss with another errant pass towards Christian Watson, and the drive stalls on third down as the Detroit pass rush wins the battle.

After a throw away, Brandon McManus then trots on to convert a 45-yard field goal.

  6. Miss!published at 18:11 GMT 27 November

Green Bay Packers 0-0 Detroit Lions

Oh no Jordan Love - that's a walk-in touchdown for Bo Melton if he doesn't miss a really easy pass with his receiver in acres of space.

Love did all the hard work as well with a nice little dance around in the back field to escape the pass rush - Melton made a move and all he needed was any type of pass in his direction.

The Packers QB has his head in his hands and now wonder.

Emmanuel Wilson had over 100 yards on Sunday serving as back-up to Josh Jacobs, but he'll get more of the ball off the back of that performance - as he gets the rock to convert another short third down.

  8. Jacobs convertspublished at 18:09 GMT 27 November

Green Bay Packers 0-0 Detroit Lions

Terrific job by the offensive line for Green Bay as they open up a huge gap right up the middle for Josh Jacobs to fly through to convert on third down.

That was a real power move on 3rd & 1 in what's started off as a really solid opening drive from the visitors.

  9. First downpublished at 18:06 GMT 27 November

Green Bay Packers 0-0 Detroit Lions

Josh Jacobs has a short run to start the game - he'll be a nice addition to the offence after missing the last game.

Jordan Love then throws a dart to Christian Watson for a first down.

Right, that's the anthem done in Detroit, we're all set for kick-off at Ford Field in this huge NFC North battle.

Neither side can really afford to lose this one if they have designs on the division title, and that usually makes for a great game.

    Enjoy!

Detroit were the first team to regularly host a Thanksgiving Day game, starting way back in 1934, with tonight's game against Green Bay their 86th since kicking off this tradition.

The Packers are playing in their third straight Thanksgiving game and their 39th overall. The Lions have a 38-45-2 record while Green Bay are 16-20-2 all time on this holiday.

As for this season, Detroit are 7-4 and Green Bay 7-3-1 with both trailing the surprising Chicago Bears in the NFC North so this could be vital in the chase for that division title. What a start to the day!
