Aaron Rodgers was banged up again today, and admitted after the game that he's picked up an injury.

“I’m definitely banged up, got my foot caught in the tackle there…it’s a low ankle sprain," said Rodgers.

That could potentially be bad news for the New York Jets as they face another tough test against the Buffalo Bills next week.

  4. Get Involved - Are the Jets good enough?published at 18:27 British Summer Time 6 October

Aaron Rodgers is 2-3 after five games, which is not quite what he would have hoped for in his return from injury with a roster stacked with elite talent on both sides of the ball.

One defeat came at the San Francisco 49ers on opening weekend, one came here against the unbeaten Minnesota Vikings with the real bad one being the home loss to the Denver Broncos last week.

They had some good moment today but overall the Vikings were a step ahead - so does this Jets squad have enough in it to give Rodgers a fairytale Super Bowl run?

    Thumbs time...

    Robert Saleh

Jets head coach Robert Saleh isn't pushing the panic button just yet as his side dropped to 2-3 for the season:

"It's early, we're five games in and we've got a long way to to."

  6. Get Involved: Can the Vikings go all the way?published at 18:18 British Summer Time 6 October

New York Jets 17-23 Minnesota Vikings

They're 5-0, they've beaten the 49ers, the Texans, the Packers, and now the Aaron Rodgers-led Jets.

But can the Minnesota Vikings go all the way and win the Super Bowl? Let your thumbs do the talking....

  7. 'We're going back 5-0'published at 18:16 British Summer Time 6 October

New York Jets 17-23 Minnesota Vikings

Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell is doing his press conference:

"We're going back 5-0 after five huge challenges, including come over here for this trip. But we've had a phenomenal trip over here that we've enjoyed immensely.

"Tons of challenges still left for us but I can't wait to attack them with this team."

  8. No run zonepublished at 18:11 British Summer Time 6 October

New York Jets 17-23 Minnesota Vikings

Teams will struggle to run on these two defences going by the stats today - with the Vikings rushing for 82 yards and Jets only managing 36.

That may be more of an issue with the Jets run game though...

The New York Jets are about as far away from the Super Bowl as we are. Defensively they have the makings of a good team, but Rodgers is struggling and I don't see him carrying on beyond this year.

  10. Vikings lap of honourpublished at 18:08 British Summer Time 6 October

New York Jets 17-23 Minnesota Vikings

Some Vikings players have come back out onto the field to celebrate, Camryn Bynum and Akayleb Evans among them, and they're doing a lap of honour with still plenty of purple shirts still left in the crowd.

They group dance about in midfield, take a celebratory phot and then bounce around celebrating with the fans before finally disappearing back inside the stadium again.

Fair to say they enjoyed that one.

Stephon Gilmore, the former Defensive Player of the Year. He’s looking at Aaron Rodgers. He sees the ball thrown. If you are going to have a championship winning defence like the Vikings do it’s plays like this by players like Stephon Gilmore that have to happen.

  12. Purple Rainpublished at 18:03 British Summer Time 6 October

And aptly enough, as the players leave the field, and rain keeps streaming down in Tottenham and Purple Rain by Prince blurs out over the loud speakers...

  13. Defence wins championshipspublished at 18:02 British Summer Time 6 October

New York Jets 17-23 Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings once had such a fearsome defence they were known as the 'Purple People Eaters' - well, this defence is not there yet, but they're pretty good.

They restricted Aaron Rodgers to 244 yards passing, intercepted him three times including for just the fifth pick six of his career.

Rodgers was hit seven times and definitely struggled, and crucially, just when he was looking to win it, that decisive interception sealed the game.

They say defence wins championships, and Minnesota seem to have one that could well do the job.

A lot of talk has been about Sam Darnold but it's the defence that is leading the way for the Vikings.

  15. FT Vikings survive Jets comebackpublished at 17:55 British Summer Time 6 October

New York Jets 17-23 Minnesota Vikings

Well that was fun wasn't it?

A classic game from the National Football League, as the Minnesota Vikings dominated for almost all of that first half, before a late touchdown gave the New York Jets a glimmer of hope.

Second half saw the Jets on the front foot and Aaron Rodgers looked like he was primed for a trademark comeback win until that very late interception.

    What a game.

  16. That's the game!published at 17:52 British Summer Time 6 October

New York Jets 17-23 Minnesota Vikings

What a way to end this one - and probably apt that it's sealed with a defensive play as largely the defences have been on top all game.

Aaron Rodgers has a pass deflected at the line of scrimmage then has to throw the ball under all sorts of pressure, with it falling short of his receiver.
