Summary

  1. Rodgers one yard shortpublished at 16:11 British Summer Time 6 October

Aaron Rodgers looks set to join some elite company today, as he looks to reach 60,000 passing yards in the NFL - something which only eight players before him have managed.

At half-time, Rodgers is just one yard short! So he should join the elite group on 60K in the second half.

And the names show you exactly what an achievement it is, as Rodgers would join Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Ben Roethlisberger, Philip Rivers, Matt Ryan and Dan Marino in reaching the landmark.

  2. End of first halfpublished at 16:05 British Summer Time 6 October

New York Jets 7-17 Minnesota Vikings

Well, that was one-way traffic until right at the end, but the Jets had all the momentum at the end and if the game was continuing you'd fancy them to get right back in it.

But it's something to build on, and something for the Vikings to think about over half-time.

We're set up for an intriguing second half.

Talk about a shot in the arm. Aaron Rodgers runs out of the pocket and fires a dart to Allen Lazard to get the Jets on the board.

One of the Jets' offensive linemen helps Rodgers back to his feet and gives him a bear hug, lifting him off his feet.

There are signs of life for the Jets. Just what they needed before the half-time break.

Rodgers punches the air and the Jets are jubilant. They'll be pumped heading back out for the third quarter. Game on!!

This is what happens when you allow Rodgers to extend the play.

  5. Sack!published at 16:03 British Summer Time 6 October

New York Jets 7-17 Minnesota Vikings

Still enough time left in the half for Michael Clemons to sack Sam Darnold, so Minnesota will kneel on this now to end the half.

  6. touchdown

Touchdown - Jets!published at 15:59 British Summer Time 6 October

New York Jets 7-17 Minnesota Vikings

The Jets pull one back! Allen Lazard catches the touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers.

Some decent moves from the old man as Rodgers moves forward in the pocket to escape the rush and he finds his former Green Bay team-mate in the middle of the end zone.

Lazard takes a nice leaping catch and from out of nowhere the Jets are back in this.

Two incompletions brings up third and 10 for the Jets...

  8. Postpublished at 15:57 British Summer Time 6 October

New York Jets 0-17 Minnesota Vikings

Jets complete a first down and they're up to the 15-yard line with 48 seconds left on the clock.

  9. Great returnpublished at 15:56 British Summer Time 6 October

New York Jets 0-17 Minnesota Vikings

A 35-yard return by Isiah Davis off the punt and the Jets are at the 31 and will surely get some sort of points return here.

  10. Postpublished at 15:55 British Summer Time 6 October

New York Jets 0-17 Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings are backed up as we get towards the end of the half, with the Jets desperate to try and force some kind of mistake.

  11. 'What a drive'published at 15:52 British Summer Time 6 October

New York Jets 0-17 Minnesota Vikings

    Jason Bell
    Former NFL cornerback on ITV

What a drive by the Vikings. CJ Ham, a fan favourite, a big, physical runner.

He does most of the blocking but down on the goal line is where you need him.

The Jets defence is under more pressure, you can see the holding calls because they're under man-to-man coverage.

    They're being one-dimensional.

  12. Sack!published at 15:47 British Summer Time 6 October

New York Jets 0-17 Minnesota Vikings

Aarond Rodgers goes down from a huge hit by Vikings safety Harrison Smith, who came flying in off the blindside totally unblocked.

Rodgers is slow to get up from that one, which isn't a surprise as Smith really laid it on him coming in at pace.

  13. Costly flagspublished at 15:45 British Summer Time 6 October

New York Jets 0-17 Minnesota Vikings

That was officially eight plays for 74 yards on the touchdown drive by Minnesota, but also helped by all those penalties in the red zone by the secondary.

Five total penalties for 42 yards for the Jets so far, but more than that it's the timing and placement of those before the score that just killed them.

  14. touchdown

Touchdown - Vikings!published at 15:40 British Summer Time 6 October

New York Jets 0-17 Minnesota Vikings

CJ Ham barrels over from three yards for the second Vikings touchdown of the game!

Another flag on Sauce Gardner set them up, and Darnold handed it off to the big full-back to burrow his way over to put the Vikings into a commanding lead.

  15. Another flagpublished at 15:38 British Summer Time 6 October

New York Jets 0-10 Minnesota Vikings

Plenty of yellow on the field as again the Jets are done for pass interference, Sauce Gardner this time on Justin Jefferson, to out the ball on the two.

A penalty on Minnesota backs them up five yards though.

  16. Flag!published at 15:35 British Summer Time 6 October

New York Jets 0-10 Minnesota Vikings

Huge flag on the play here as the Jets get done for pass interference and that puts the ball on their own 13-yard line with the Vikings knocking on the door.

DJ Reed was having a good battle with Justin Jefferson but a small grab of the shirt was enough.

  17. Postpublished at 15:32 British Summer Time 6 October

New York Jets 0-10 Minnesota Vikings

No worries about Justin Jefferson though as he gets free again to collect a 27-yard pass to keep those chains moving again. You just can't guard him some times.

  18. 'Some things make no sense'published at 15:32 British Summer Time 6 October

New York Jets 0-10 Minnesota Vikings

    Osi Umenyiora
Two-time Super Bowl winner on ITV

Some things make absolutely no sense.

You've seen you can't make any progress on this defensive line and like a knucklehead you keep banging on that door.

  19. Jones worrypublished at 15:31 British Summer Time 6 October

New York Jets 0-10 Minnesota Vikings

Worrying signs for Minnesota as Aaron Jones is hobbling around on the sideline and rubbing his hamstring. That spells trouble for their star rusher.

  20. Jets turn it overpublished at 15:28 British Summer Time 6 October

New York Jets 0-10 Minnesota Vikings

The Jets this time go for it on fourth down, needing a couple of yards to extend the drive, but Braelon Allen is stuffed at the line and the Jets turn it over on downs.

That would have been about a 44-yard field goal that I think I would have kicked if I were Robert Saleh, given how his offence has struggled today.
