But just as the Packers seem to be getting something going, Josh Jacobs is tackled behind the line of scrimmage for a big loss.

Jordan Love scrambles admirably to get most of those yards back but it's now a big decision... fourth down attempt or field goal?

The Packers go back to tight end Kraft - and he gets the yard required.

Green Bay's run game hasn't got going yet and a WWE-like spear tackle on Josh Jacobs will not help.

But he bounces back up and takes the ball on the next play to get the Packers within a yard of a first down.

Green Bay then employ a rugby-like scrum to get the yard needed - and more - through tight end Tucker Kraft. Not pretty but effective.

This is play-off football, every single mistake is absolutely magnified. We've already seen the Packers turn the ball over two times.

The easy way to allow the Packers some momentum is some errant throw on third and long. Your defence is playing great, make the Packers go out and earn something on offence.

Another decent stop from the Packers after that turnover. They're keeping the visitors in this.

Three and out as Saquon Barkley is stuffed short on third down.

But can Green Bay get anything going on offense? Well, Jayden Reed makes solid yardage on the punt return to give the Packers their best starting field position so far.

Green Bay have got to get Josh Jacobs going, especially on first down. Once it's third and eight, or even second and 10, that's not where you want to start him, You want to have him peel off some runs.

Philadelphia does that. That's their bread and butter, and every other part of the meal, with Saquon Barkley. I think Green Bay's got to use Jacobs in the same way.

Green Bay's receiving corps is short-handed too, with Christian Watson being out. They say they're better than has been suggested. I think they're a little better than that but they're not great. They're not one of the league's best, that's for sure.

They really don't have that one playmaker that they've had for years. They really don't have that one big name that's a reliable guy out there, and I think you saw it in their first couple of drives.

Second quarter hasn't started too well for Green Bay either...

Jordan Love tries to go big and long but Darius Slay Jr gets a march on Dontayvion Wicks and is perfectly placed to pick it off.

Philadelphia utterly dominant on both sides of the ball so far.

A short Josh Jacobs run yields the end of a first quarter that Green Bay would probably like to forget.

Losing offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins is a big-time problem for Green Bay. What a hit that was too, just nothing but a flush helmet on his shoulder.

You could see his shoulder kind of fall limp and he was even bending to the one side. I'd be surprised if we saw him again.

Now it's the most appropriately named running-back in NFL history, Kenneth Gainwell, that gets the yardage the Eagles need on third down.

Eagles running back Saquon Barkley weaves out wide and then back infield for a nice gain.

Then quarterback Jalen Hurts keeps the ball on a fake hand-off and gets another 20-odd yards before sliding to the turf.

Philadelphia quickly back into Green Bay territory and this is already looking like a long night for the Packers' defense with the Barkley-Hurts one-two punch.

But that's where the Packers' progress ends as quarterback Jordan Love cannot evade defensive pressure and, despite showing a fleet foot, he's eventually sacked by a trip-tackle by Nolan Smith Jr.

It forces a second Green Bay punt of the game and the visitors are yet to get going.

Tight end Tucker Kraft hauls in a Jordan Love pass out wide to give Green Bay their maiden first down of this wildcard encounter.

Baby steps and all that. Despite a fairly disastrous start, they're only one score down, remember.

Speaking of Josh Jacobs, the Packers hand him the ball on first down but he's halted for a gain of just two yards.

Another blow for the Packers as offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins limps off after that play.

Gone are the days of Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers launching the ball downfield for the Green Bay Packers.

Jordan Love has impressed since taking over from Rodgers as the Packers' starting quarterback and the arrival of Josh Jacobs in the off-season has allowed him to lean more on the run game, something not traditionally associated with Green Bay.
