Denver Broncos 10-9 New York Jets

Three for three from Nick Folk to reduce the deficit to a single point.

Justin Fields went in search of Tyler Johnson but the pass was cut out by Zach Allen, setting up the 38-yard field goal attempt.

    Never in doubt.

The Jets have flown out of the blocks here with Justin Fields finding Josh Reynolds to get the first down in Broncos territory after Fields and Breece Hall run the ball.

New York up to 2nd & 8 on the 20-yard line.

Much better from the Jets already.

    UK v USA challenge!

This weekend's pre-match build-up even included a celebrity game of flag football at the Copper Box on Saturday night.

So we had to ask, who does it better... the UK or USA??

  8. Wilson fuming on the sidelinepublished at 16:01 BST 12 October

Denver Broncos 10-6 New York Jets

Garrett Wilson is absolutely fuming with head coach Aaron Glenn at the end of that first half, with what was a confusing drive of play calling.

There's an arm around the coach in a more friendly manner as they walk off, but the Jets wideout is clearly frustrated with that messy final possession.

Clock management was poor, and confusing, they went for the fake punt on fourth down to keep the drive going then showed very little ambition to go and score.

  9. Half-timepublished at 15:58 BST 12 October

Denver Broncos 10-6 New York Jets

That's it for the first half and the Broncos lead thanks to a touchdown from Nate Adkins.

The Jets have struggled to get anything going in response and the big talking point of the second quarter was the three sacks on Justin Fields, adding to one in the opening period.

  10. Sack - Fields taken down for the fourth timepublished at 15:56 BST 12 October

Denver Broncos 10-6 New York Jets

Justin Fields goes down again, this time under a split sack for Nik Bonitto and Zach Allen.

Fields gets up looking more than a bit dejected.

I'm not normally speechless but I'm trying to figure this out!

There's just no identity, I don't know what the Jets are trying to do with this final drive of the half.

  12. Postpublished at 15:54 BST 12 October

Clever play from the Jets to win another first down.

Breece Hall gets his side up to 4th & 1 and they bring on Austin McNamara with Denver expecting the punt.

But instead they go straight back to Hall and the running back just manages to get over the line to give his side 1st &10 at the 38-yard line.

In an all-action first half, it almost escaped us that the Jets' first down there is the first they've managed to claim all game.

Incredible really that they're only four points down. All to play for in the second half.

  14. Two-minute warningpublished at 15:46 BST 12 October

Denver Broncos 10-6 New York Jets

The Jets find themselves at 3rd & 6 and Justin Fields finally picks a pass to Josh Reynolds to secure the first down as the referee announces the two-minute warning.

Now can they build on this to hit back before the break?

  15. Dobbins yet to get going for Broncospublished at 15:44 BST 12 October

BBC columnist Phoebe Schecter said this would be the JK Dobbins show, but the Denver running back is yet to get going.

He's only managed 15 yards from seven carries so far, so Bo Nix is their leading rusher with 26 yards from three carries.

After scrambling for a first down on that drive, the Denver quarterback slide a little too early and didn't quite make it.

That stalled the drive and the Broncos ultimately had to punt. Something to learn from for the second-year QB.

The Broncos offence are starting to grab this game by the scruff of the neck.

JK Dobbins darts forward to give his team a first down before Bo Nix scrambles for nine yards.

The Broncos are penalised for a false start and given a five yard penalty to make it 3rd down & 6.

Troy Franklin gets through but again it's pulled back, this time for holding and they go from 3rd & 1 to 3rd & 16.

They can only make it forward eight yards and the Jets will get the ball back with a little over three minutes remaining of the half.

Sloppy from the Broncos offence after some good early work.

Patrick Surtain - oh my gosh.

The best cornerback in football, some say the best defensive player in football and he is playing right now at an elite level and is just shutting down any Jets receiver that he comes up against on that offence.

  18. Sack - Twice on Fields in a matter of secondspublished at 15:33 BST 12 October

    Make that three times!

This time it's Jonathan Cooper - Justin Fields is sacked for the second time in just a few seconds.

A sorry spell of possession comes to an end as Austin McNamara comes on to punt upfield and put his teammate out of his misery.
