    Men's 100m semi-finals

    Oh this is very messy.

There's a recall, a false start - but half the field did not realise!

Italy's Matteo Melluzzo, pumped up in front of a home crowd, streaked all the way to the end - then realised it wouldn't count.

    He's not a happy bunny.

    Men's 100m semi-finals

Up first in the men's 100m semi-finals, Briton Romell Glave takes to the track.

The 24-year-old became world’s fastest 17-year-old in 2017 when he clocked 10.21secs, but this is his debut appearance at a major senior championship.

Only Italy's reigning Olympic champion Lamont Marcell Jacobs has gone faster than Glave in 2024 among those on the start list at these championship, after the British sprinter ran 10.05 seconds in May.

He also has the fastest personal best in this first semi-final, a time of 10.02 set last year, and he'll hope for a top-two finish to confirm his place in the final in Rome.
