    Brilliant stuff from Mageean, and that was experience.

    She had real patience and was boxed for most of the race. She only found some daylight with about 80m to go.

    Another gold medal at these championships for Ireland as Ciara Mageean finishes brilliantly to win gold by a distance.

    Georgia Bell kept pace, and she picks up a silver for Britain.

    Agathe Guillemot of France takes bronze. Jemma Reekie finishes fifth after a disappointing conclusion to that race.
