Lizzie Bird won the bronze medal in the women's 3000m steeplechase final, and was talking to BBC Sport:

Back-to-back bronzes and a season’s best – how do you feel?

"I’m happy with that. My two goals coming into this were to get a medal and get the Olympic standard and I think I got both, so job done."

You made the standard and you have to come top two at trials, how are you feeling physically and mentally?

"I’m feeling good. I feel like I had a few niggles this winter but I’m getting momentum at the right time and coming into form pretty well these last few weeks."

It must feel good to be injury free?

"It feels good to be back. The main thing last time was glandular fever which took a really long time to recover from, so feeling myself again and it’s good to be back."

    On aspirations for Paris?

"Just to make that final and finish as high as I can."
