Cavanagh expects Ulster counties to adopt more defensive approach

Sean Cavanagh expects Ulster counties to revert to a more defensive approach than they adopted in the Football League when the Championship begins in the middle of May.

The Tyrone forward says he enjoys the extra freedom afforded to him by the formation the Red Hands employed during their Division One campaign.

He doesn't expect high scores to be the order of the day in every Ulster SFC game though.

Tyrone begin their campaign against Down on 18 May.
