England looking like what they are - a team who only had two warm ups and then also only got to play a quarter of their first game.

    Target 202

A six from Liam Livingstone. He skipped down the ground and took on Adam Zampa, launching that back over his head and all of the way into the stands for six runs.

Unless we see several more of them it does feel a bit too little, too late.

England have simply never looked convincing since Morgan left. Too many wickets gifted. Too many dot balls. Too little control when bowling.

England's batters, after openers Jos Buttler and Phil Salt, have all struggled, barring Moeen Ali, before he was caught on 25.

England are just thrashing around a bit here.

  6. Eng 136-5published at 17 overs

    Target 202

England just cannot get their shots past this Australia field.

Josh Hazlewood's final over starts with three drilled singles, with England only able to add three more to that, with six coming in total.

Livingstone and Brook can both swing a bat, but you would not think so off this showing.

66 needed off three overs, 22 per over is the rate. Not looking great for England, or their net run-rate.

England have been very poor so far. Got lucky against Scotland and once again have their tactics wrong. Coach must be under a lot of pressure, especially with the 50 over shenanigans.

  8. Eng 130-5published at 16 overs

    Target 202

Australia's Test captain Pat Cummins does the job with the white ball.

That over brings a wicket and gives England only four runs.

England need 72 runs off 24 balls to win, exactly 18 runs an over.

Liam Livingstone is probably going to have to play his best innings in an England shirt if they are to win this game.

It is tricky to walk to the middle and hit boundaries from the off. We've seen that in both innings.

Being the only country that doesn’t focus on T20 as The Hundred is the priority. We don’t do ODI as that’s for the youngsters now. Will it really be a surprise if we don’t win a World Cup for a while?

    Moeen c Warner b Cummins 25 (Eng 128-5) Target 202

Moeen Ali's hopes of getting England over the line are over.

At first, Moeen looked like he got plenty of that Pat Cummins delivery, but instead, it held up in the air and it is an easy catch for David Warner at deep cover.

Liam Livingstone is out next and faces an almighty task, with England needing 74 off 26 to win this.

Moeen Ali has shown some intent so far, hitting three sixes off Glenn Maxwell's last over.

  13. Eng 126-4published at 15 overs

    Target 202

Excellent bowling from Josh Hazlewood sees England score just two runs from the over as Hazlewood also takes a wicket.

Harry Brook is capable of magic moments, but has struggled to get bat on ball in his first few deliveries.

England need 76 runs off 30 balls to win this match.

    Will England defy WinViz?

They'd only win this game 12 times out of 100 based on historical data.

    Bairstow c Maxwell b Hazlewood 7 (Eng 124-4) Target 202

Just when things were looking up for England, Josh Hazlewood makes the breakthrough.

Jonny Bairstow tries to follow on from Moeen Ali but without the conviction.

He went to send that one flying, but got nowhere near enough on it, picking out Glenn Maxwell at mid-wicket who grabs easily before blowing a kiss to the England fans in attendance.

    Harry Brook comes out next.

That was the most stylish shot of the lot!

    Glenn Maxwell will be steaming.

  18. 6 runs

    Eng 124-3published at 14 overs

    Target 202

Three sixes in an over from England.

After a brilliant first over, Glenn Maxwell's second has gone for 20, with Moeen Ali finding his third six of the over.

A flick of the wrists down his leg side is all it takes to take that into the top tier.

A much better over for England.

That's the sound of belief from the stands. This over has to go the distance.

  20. 6 runs

    Eng 116-3published at 13.2 overs

    Target 202

    Back-to-back sixes from Moeen Ali.

He could not have caught that ball any sweeter. It is brilliant batting from the experienced Moeen, cannoned over long on and he starts this over with 12 off two.
