  1. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 8.2 overs

    Rutherford c Buttler b Rashid 2 (WI 69-5)

He doesn't need the gloves! A sensational catch from Jos Buttler.

The England captain has positioned himself at slip to Adil Rashid and just sticks his left hand out to take Sherfane Rutherford's edge.

Buttler is smiling wider than you could imagine.

  2. WI 68-4published at 8 overs

Young Dan Mousley has a grin on his face at the end of his first over in T20Is and quite right too. Having been pumped for six first ball, he concedes just a single afterwards.

  3. WI 67-4published at 7.2 overs

Mousley responds well with two dot balls to left-hander Pooran.

  4. 6 runs

    WI 67-4published at 7.1 overs

Off-spinner Dan Mousley is on for a bowl on his T20 debut...

Ah. He begins with a full toss that is smashed for six by Nicholas Pooran.

Rovman Powell has such an issue against leg spin. He now averages less than 18 against it, even with a conservative strike rate of 124. An Achilles heel that England have exploited perfectly.

  6. WI 61-4published at 7 overs

Sherfane Rutherford is in earlier than he'd have liked.

Adil Rashid is good, isn't he? Three dots plus the wicket in that over.

  7. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 6.2 overs

    Powell c Overton b Rashid 18 (WI 59-4)

And Adil Rashid strikes with his second ball!

Rovman Powell tries to hit England's leggie down the ground but Jamie Overton takes a superb catch above his head at long-on.

Had it been any of the other fielders down there, it may have been six. Not Overton, though. He's massive and clearly has great hands too.

  8. WI 58-3published at 6 overs

    Pooran 22, Powell 18

19 from the over and Will Jacks has just left a big divot in the turf after sliding to stop the ball.

Adil Rashid is coming straight on after the powerplay. That flurry of runs has evened the game back up.

  9. 6 runs

    WI 57-3published at 5.5 overs

Saqib Mahmood switches to round the wicket but Pooran launches him for six more.

The left-hander just stands as admires as the ball sails into the stands.

  10. WI 51-3published at 5.4 overs

Is the ball just skidding onto the bat off a greasy pitch after the rain?

Nicholas Pooran drives for four behind square now. That was textbook.

  11. 6 runs

    WI 45-3published at 5.1 overs

Six more to West Indies as Nicholas Pooran stands tall to slap Saqib Mahmood over mid-wicket.

The break has worked best for the hosts it seems.

Seeing that angry reaction from Topley leaving the field was not an easy watch. His frustration is so understandable.

Tough night for Reece Topley. He's off injured, and he's conceded 26 runs from his 2.4 overs - only twice has he conceded more runs in the powerplay for England.

  14. WI 39-3published at 5 overs

Jamie Overton finishes off Topley's over with two dot balls.

That is cruel for Reece Topley.

  15. WI 39-3published at 4.5 overs

    Oh no.

Reece Topley can't continue. That injury is clearly worse than he thought.

He's walked straight off the field and smashes a chair as he goes.

  16. 6 runs

    WI 39-3published at 4.4 overs

What has Rovman Powell been doing in that break?

He pumps the first ball after the restart for six.

    That's back-to-back sixes, 35 minutes apart

  17. WI 33-3published at 4.3 overs

Here we go. Reece Topley will continue his over.

There's now a beach at fine leg as well as the one in front of the party stand.

That break was 35 minutes' long but it doesn't seem we've lost any overs.

I have news from the England camp.

Reece Topley is going to return to the field when play does resume in three minutes.

The umpires are currently overseeing the groundstaff tipping an awful lot of sandy on a section of the outfield.

Looking again at that Reece Topley incident he seemed to be holding his right knee after tumbling in his bowling action.

You'd hope playing on through the rain hasn't caused that injury.
