  1. Close of play at Chesterfieldpublished at 18:54 British Summer Time 30 June

    Derbys 76 v Yorks 283-5

Yorkshire have taken complete control of this game after bowling out the hosts for just 76 in 28 overs.

James Wharton has made a rapid 116 off just 125 balls and Jonathan Tattersall reaches stumps on 41 not out in an unbroken 118-run stand.

Yorkshire close 207 ahead with five wickets in hand and all the time in the world to complete back-to-back wins.

  2. 'The day very much belonged to Hampshire'published at 18:53 British Summer Time 30 June

    Close: Hampshire 301-3 v Kent

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

A day that has very much belonged to Hampshire.

Kent won the toss and elected to bowl first on a greenish wicket. The ball did move around a little bit but not as extravagantly as everyone was thinking but even so there was enough there.

It's been all about James Vince once more.

  3. Postpublished at 18:51 British Summer Time 30 June

    Lancashire 337-8 v Notts

Lancashire captain Keaton Jennings has got the wood over all of the Notts players right now.

Another powerful drive, this time off Lyndon James, should be stopped on the boundary by Calvin Harrison but he pushes it over the ropes with a second fielder unable to stop it.

Now he pulls the last ball of James' over to the fence for another boundary.

Eight off the over and Jennings has 182.

  4. Worcestershire fail to last a sessionpublished at 18:51 British Summer Time 30 June

Worcestershire 112 trail Durham by 78

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

When Durham were bowled out on the cusp of tea, on day one here in CLS, you wouldn't have expected to see them batting again before the close!

But on a green-top which is seaming around, 20 wickets have fallen so far.

Although tea was taken between innings, Worcestershire were out with nearly an hour of the day left. Their total of 112 was their lowest against Durham as well. The innings lasted 33 overs.

Kashif Ali scored 55 of them and only two other players made double figures, while four got ducks.

Matthew Potts celebrated his England call-up with 4-29 while England skipper Ben Stokes took 1-23.

There were 14 overs remaining when Durham started their second innings with a lead of 78.

  5. Postpublished at 18:51 British Summer Time 30 June

    Surrey 233-8 v Essex

Tom Lawes gets one off Simon Harmer with a push to mid on.

A slip and a forward short leg are in place.

Single to Taylor stepping back and glancing leg side.

Lawes gets forward and drives to mid on for one more.

  6. Close of play at Grace Roadpublished at 18:50 British Summer Time 30 June

    Leics 179 & 40-1 v Middx 86

The wickets have gone down like ninepins in Leicester and it is the hosts who have taken a firm grip on the game.

A total of 179 may not have looked so hot for Leicestershire, but Ben Mike (5-22) and Ben Green (4-28) then skittled the promotion-chasing Londoners for 86.

Toby Rolan-Jones took his fifth wicket of the day to remove Sol Budinger in reply, but Leicestershire reach stumps 133 in front with nine wickets in hand.

  7. Postpublished at 18:49 British Summer Time 30 June

    Surrey 230-8 v Essex

Shane Snater draws Tom Taylor forward into a play and miss defensive shot and it feels like a ninth wicket could come at any moment here.

Another play and miss off the fourth as Taylor backs away leg side.

Snater beats him again and no doubt wonders what else he needs to do to get his second wicket. Maiden over.

  8. Third innings begins at Chester-le-Streetpublished at 18:47 British Summer Time 30 June

    Durham 190 & 8-0 v Worcs 112

Nathan Smith takes the new ball for the second time today as Alex Lees faces the first ball of Durham's second innings.

He clips the second ball through the leg side for four and then repeats the dose next ball as he clips a full ball from Smith for back-to-back boundaries.

A fast start could take this game out of Worcestershire's reach.

  9. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 18:45 British Summer Time 30 June

    Lancashire 327-8 v Notts

Keaton Jennings launches a big aerial shot off Dane Paterson.

It's up in the air - will it be six or out? It's neither as Dillon Pennington can't hang on to it just in front of the ropes and Jennings runs through for a single.

The Lancashire captain moves to 174.

  10. Postpublished at 18:44 British Summer Time 30 June

    Surrey 230-8 v Essex

Simon Harmer will continue from the Pavilion End.

The floodlights are coming on at the Oval to see us through the last eight overs.

One ball is tapped close to forward short leg but the ball lands safely.

Tom Lawes moves into block mode to see out the over.

He tries the force the last ball through the off side on the back foot but there's no run. Maiden over.

  11. Close of play at Cheltenhampublished at 18:42 British Summer Time 30 June

    Gloucs 179 v Glam 133-7

An intriguing match which saw 17 wickets fall has ended evenly-poised.

Glamorgan looked well on top when they dismissed the hosts for just 179 thanks to Timm van der Gugten's five-wicket haul.

But the hosts have battled back, with three wickets from Beau Webster leaving the Welsh side seven down and still trailing by 46.

  12. Close of play at Utilita Bowlpublished at 18:42 British Summer Time 30 June

    Hampshire 301-3 v Kent

Ben Brown plays out a maiden to Matt Parkinson to complete the day's play.

Brown ends on 106 not out with captain James Vince unbeaten on 149 as together they have put on 245 for this fourth wicket.

After winning toss and having their hosts 56-3 early in the afternoon, things have not gone well for Kent and their skipper Daniel Bell-Drummond.

They are facing a big Hampshire total on day two, even if they bowl better.

  13. Postpublished at 18:41 British Summer Time 30 June

    Surrey 230-8 v Essex

Three slips in for Shane Snater, bowling from the Vauxhall End.

Tom Taylor drives on the up into the off side and the ball bounces short of Tom Westley at mid off.

Short and pulled high in front of square for four! Not quite out of the middle but that will do nicely for Surrey.

Taylor is struck on the pad fourth ball but there's no serious appeal, save for a few die hard home supporters in the stands.

  14. Jennings on firepublished at 18:38 British Summer Time 30 June

    Lancashire 310-8 v Notts

Dillon Pennington runs in hard again to Keaton Jennings, who makes room and scoops it down over fine leg for six.

Two balls later, Jennings makes room and smashes a one-bounce four straight down the ground.

He is seeing it like the proverbial football as he tries to shepherd the tail.

  15. 'It's been Warwickshire's day'published at 18:38 British Summer Time 30 June

    Close: Somerset v Warwickshire 373-8

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

    A chastening day for Somerset.

It started so well and has finished so very disappointingly.

The bowling has lacked penetration since that burst first thing in the morning on a pitch that has got easier as the day has gone on and it has dried out.

Somerset are going to have to work hard to knock over the last two Warwickshire wickets tomorrow and then try and bat in the same sort of positive and prolific way that Warwickshire have.

    It's been Warwickshire's day.

  16. Postpublished at 18:37 British Summer Time 30 June

    Surrey 226-8 v Essex

James Taylor is across to Simon Harmer, clipping to square leg for his fist run after facing six deliveries.

Tom Lawes blocks into the off side.

He tries to get away with a single to the on side but the ball barely dribbles away from forward short leg and he hastily gets back to his crease.

  17. DURHAM ALL OUT FOR 112published at 18:37 British Summer Time 30 June
    Breaking

    Durham 190 v Worcs 112

Kashif Ali has been limping for a few overs now and aims a big swing at Ben Raine but miscues a slower ball and loops it into the air.

Ben Stokes loses the flight of the ball but recovers in time to take the catch at mid-on.

Worcestershire were looking well set at 99-4 before a rain delay halted their momentum.

They then lost their final six wickets for just 13 runs, and it is Durham who have what looks a decisive 78-run lead.

  18. 'It's a tired looking Kent bowling and fielding unit'published at 18:33 British Summer Time 30 June

    Hampshire 299-3 v Kent

    Matt Cole
    BBC Radio Kent

This really is getting away from Kent.

If it wasn't before then it certainly is at the end of the day.

It's a tired-looking bowling and fielding unit now.

Hampshire are piling on the pain and pressure now.

  19. wicket

WICKET Patel b Snater 26published at 18:32 British Summer Time 30 June

    Surrey 224-8 v Essex

Surrey have lost 3-21 and may not see out Day One.

Ryan Patel is stuck in the crease playing across the line to a jubilant Snane Snater and the ball clips the top of the timbers.

James Taylor to bat next with a full 10 overs left tonight after this one.

  20. Close of play at Tauntonpublished at 18:31 British Summer Time 30 June

    Somerset v Warwickshire 373-8

Michael Burgess faces Josh Davey and defends into mid on.

This has been an epic fightback from the Bears after crashing to 40-4 this morning and 145-6 this afternoon.

A fourth batting point looked unlikely then but it is tantalisingly within reach tomorrow.

Burgess gets one to mid off and Michael Booth is right behind the line, lunging forward to block.

He's struck on the pad by the last ball but it's sliding down.

A disappointing end to the day for Somerset after early wickets.

Migael Pretorius was the pick of the bowlers with 4-72 but the attack could not sustain the pressure with the older ball or the second new one.

Burgess leaves the field on 126 not out and Booth has 13.
