Magnificent stuff from Keaton Jennings as he takes down Notts' premier bowler.

Dillon Pennington pitches up and Jennings smashes it over his head and down to the ropes at long-on for four.

He is now 150 not out. Terrific batting in the context of this game.

    Kashif AliImage source, Rex Features

Poor Kashif Ali has been a spectator at the non-striker's end as carnage ensued following that brief delay for rain and bad light.

He has been on the verge of his 50 for what seems like forever, but finally gets to his sixth first-class half-century as he hoiks Ben Raine for six over deep square leg.

It comes off 76 balls, with seven fours, and in the circumstances it's a super knock.

  4. wicket

WICKET Williams c Clarke b Pennington 0published at 18:26 British Summer Time 30 June

    Lancashire 293-8 v Notts

As regulation a wicket as you can get.

Good ball from Dillon Pennington, Will Williams edges it and it's a simple catch behind the stumps.

WICKET Clark c sub (Beard) b Harmer 7published at 18:25 British Summer Time 30 June

    Surrey 224-7 v Essex

Out! Jordan Clark shapes to sweep Simon Harmer square and lofts the ball to sub fielder Aaron Beard in the deep.

    Tom Lawes is in next.

  6. 100 runs

100 for Ben Brownpublished at 18:24 British Summer Time 30 June

    Hampshire 289-3 v Kent

The second hundred of the day at the Utilita Bowl and the second hundred of the day for a wicketkeeper-batter around the country.

Ben Brown tucks Matt Parkinson into the legside for a single to bring up his second century of the season, coming off 183 balls.

He and James Vince have put on 233 and have ground Kent into the dirt.

  7. Postpublished at 18:24 British Summer Time 30 June

    Somerset v Warwickshire 368-8

Michael Booth ducks under a Migael Pretorius bouncer and then gets a streaky four runs, edging wide of the two slip on the defensive block.

But he also gets a four with a respectable slap through point off a shorter ball.

10 runs come off the over altogether as a helicopter is seen buzzing overhead.

  8. 'It is falling apart for Worcestershire'published at 18:23 British Summer Time 30 June

    Durham 190 v Worcs 102-9

    Trevor Owens
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

Worcestershire are in a bit of a hole here now.

Kashif Ali has got to hang around and the others have to use a bit of common sense and bat around him.

It is falling apart for Worcestershire.

  9. wicket

WICKET Bailey lbw b James 20published at 18:19 British Summer Time 30 June

    Lancashire 292-7 v Notts

Tom Bailey had offered good support to Keaton Jennings in a stand of 64, but his useful cameo is over.

Lyndon James pins him on the pads on middle and leg and that is a third wicket of the day for him.

We still have nine overs left, so Notts will hope to wrap up this innings today.

  10. Postpublished at 18:19 British Summer Time 30 June

    Surrey 216-6 v Essex

Four runs to Ryan Patel, going back to Simon Harmer and pulling the spinner high over square leg.

  11. Hat-trick ballpublished at 18:19 British Summer Time 30 June

    Durham 190 v Worcs 102-9

Ooof - that was close! But no cigar.

Amar Virdi wafts wildly at Matthew Potts hat-trick ball and almost gets an edge on it through to wicketkeeper Ollie Robinson.

He misses out on the treble but is one away from the consolation of a five-for.

  12. Postpublished at 18:18 British Summer Time 30 June

    Hampshire 280-3 v Kent

Six overs left before the close in West End.

Kent would gladly leave the field now if possible.

    Durham 190 v Worcs 102-8

The Pears are collapsing in a heap as Durham take charge.

Kashif Ali takes a single from the first ball of Matthew Potts' seventh over to move to 47.

He perhaps wishes he hadn't as Tom Taylor goes first ball, edging Potts; next ball behind to Ollie Robinson.

That's four wickets in 16 balls

  15. New ball please!published at 18:14 British Summer Time 30 June

    Lancashire 277-6 v Notts

One of the beauties of playing at out grounds is the surrounds.

Keaton Jennings tests that theory as he pulls Olly Stone from outside off stump and it goes all the way for six.

Out of the ground! Spectators are seeing if they can reach the ball from the other side of the fence.

  16. wicket

WICKET Woakes c Umeed b Pretorius 39published at 18:14 British Summer Time 30 June

    Somerset v Warwickshire 354-8

Migael Pretorius has his fourth wicket, removing Chris Woakes in the last few overs of Day One.

Woakes miscues a push down the ground and chips the ball to Andy Umeed at mid on.

Michael Booth is in at 10.

  17. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 18:11 British Summer Time 30 June

Wow, that is a good shot!

Keaton Jennings takes a Dillon Pennington delivery on the up and smashes it through the offside.

A shot of a player on 131 not out.

But then here is Notts' big chance as Jennings takes on the hook shot down to Lyndon James. He is wary of the boundary rope and can't hold on and parries it onto the floor.

The result is one run and Jennings survives.

  18. Postpublished at 18:11 British Summer Time 30 June

    Surrey 206-6 v Essex

Simon Harmer is round the wicket to Ryan Patel, who is back trying to cut square but without getting the ball through the off side field.

That ball was close to gully in fact. Tense moments.

    Maiden over.

Matt Critchley is into his second over and Jordan Clark defends down the ground.

The last ball is driven to deep cover point for a single.

  19. Bears pass 350 at Tauntonpublished at 18:08 British Summer Time 30 June

    Somerset v Warwickshire 352-7

Michael Burgess is surging on after his century, charging forward to Josh Davey with a drive lofted through wide mid off.

He appeared to lose his shape and take his eye off that on contact but the ball still races away for four.

That takes the Bears to 350 and a third bonus point in the 92nd over.

  20. 'This match is going at a right rate of knots'published at 18:07 British Summer Time 30 June

    Durham 190 v Worcs 101-7

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Ethan Brookes looked stunned to be given out - a bit like Ben Stokes earlier in the day.

Ben Raine getting a wicket in his first over back.

This match is going at a right rate of knots.

There's still time for Worcestershire to be all out tonight and Durham batting again.
