That should've been a fairly easy call by the umpire.

Sharfuddoula Saikat has had a day to forget.

    Now then, Ollie Pope.

    Your team needs you.

That's the fourth decision by Sharfuddoula Saikat that has been overturned.

That is a huge blow for England.

    Duckett lbw b Sajid 12 (Eng 15-1)

    A massive blow.

Ramiz was right. The ball has skidded on and hit Ben Duckett on the back leg as he tentatively poked.

I'm not sure what the umpire was thinking. That was very out.

That is absolutely dead and out.

That was quite an appeal, he was down on his knees like he was in Hamlet.

  7. Pakistan reviewpublished at 4.2 overs

    Danger!

Sajid Khan appeals once, twice and for a third time on one knee for lbw against Ben Duckett.

It's given not out but Pakistan do not wait around. They're reviewing this.

  8. Eng 15-0published at 4 overs

    Crawley 2, Duckett 12

Zak Crawley looks slightly more cautious about playing the sweep. He's looking to get onto the front foot and drive.

I don't mind that. Play to your strengths.

It's a maiden from Noman Ali.

Ben Duckett is really important in this period of play, they need him to stay and pick up runs.

Perhaps England are looking to close the deficit by the end of play.

England certainly didn't have Mark's words (12:29 BST) up in the dressing room during the change of innings. Ben Duckett cracks the first boundary on the slog sweep and then swings another over his shoulder.

It seems they want to knock off the deficit sharpish.

The spin twins have done so much for Pakistan this series, Sajid Khan and Noman Ali.

After one over of Saim Ayub it is now time for Sajid Khan.

If the moustache and bulging-eyed stare weren't enough to give you Bond villain vibes, the blood dripping from his chin will.

Pakistan are going to yelp and shout every time the ball goes in the air with Muhammad Rizwan the biggest culprit.

    It feels tense, doesn't it?

Ben Duckett's first runs come from, you guessed it, the sweep shot.

Those begging for England to bat 'sensibly' forget the final Tests of Joe Root's captaincy. This team gets out quickly whether they're attacking or defending. Best they score some runs before they do, in my opinion.

It'll be Noman Ali from the other end in a less surprising move from Shan Masood.

Bad time for me to remind you he's dismissed Zak Crawley every time he has faced him in this series?

Saim Ayub looks the part with his spiky hair and pink sunglasses but Pakistan have more threatening bowlers in their ranks. Sajid Khan is still dabbing away at his chin with a cloth.

  18. Eng 1-0published at 0.2 overs

But what if they're 30-3 after 14 overs, Mark? There's no guarantee they don't lose wickets while defending.

    England are under way.

I'd much rather England were 30-0 after these 14 overs than 80-3. Let's just play sensible old fashioned Test cricket for an hour.... PLEASE!!

Hang on. I say that but it looks like part-timer Saim Ayub is going to take the first over.

I didn't see that one coming.

This is going to be a crucial 45 minutes or so.
