The lowest successfully defended total in the women's Hundred is 109.

115 is the lowest defended total at Southampton.

There was a bit left out there for the Southern Brave. They are definitely short and did not capitalise on the twos.

There were areas of the ground that they could have targeted for boundaries but no batter got settled.

  3. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 100 balls

Southby run out (Dunkley) 1 (Brave 106-7)

Rhianna Southby did the right thing in trying to get back for two off the last ball but a good, fizzing, accurate throw from Sophia Dunkley means she is an inch or two short.

Fire will need 107 to win.

    A run-out or a two?

  5. Brave 105-7published at 99 balls

A single to new batter Rhianna Southby gives Adams the strike for the last ball...

This has been an innings where Southern Brave have crawled through and they have just lost constant wickets.

  7. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 98 balls

    Devine b Ismail 3 (Brave 104-7)

A massive swing and a miss. Shabnim Ismail holds up her finger in celebration.

Sophie Devine is out, which may well mean there is no big finish.

  8. Brave 104-6published at 97 balls

The fact Devine fails to time this means she is able to get back for two.

You need intent between the wickets and should always be looking for that second run if you can.

This pitch is big enough and there are enough gaps in this field to be running for those twos.

  10. Brave 102-6published at 96 balls

A single to Georgia Adams gives Sophie Devine the strike...

  11. Brave 101-6published at 95 balls

The win predictor is giving Fire a 61% chance. This score feels below par.

Shabnim Ismail will finish the innings.

  12. Brave 101-6published at 94 balls

Now Sophie Devine finally does come in to bat - four places lower than initially carded.

Mady Villiers stepped wildly into the off-side there and all Jess Jonassen had to do was to pitch the ball up.

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 93 balls

    Villiers b Jonassen 9 (Brave 100-6)

Gone this time. Mady Villiers, looking for that boundary, steps outside off stump to spinner Jess Jonassen which is exposes her stumps. Once she misses, she has no chance.

  15. Brave 99-5published at 90 balls

Mady Villiers, casually chewing on her gum, twice gets back for two to keep the scoreboard moving.

Villiers is a good cricketer. Her bowling is useful too. You just feel she needs to a couple more boundary options to take her game up a level.

    10 to go.

I would like to see at least 25 runs added from the remaining deliveries and Southern Brave need to score from every ball.

Mady Villiers is swift between the wickets, such a quick player.

  17. Brave 92-5published at 85 balls

    Adams 25, Villiers 4

Georgia Adams skips down the pitch this time to the experienced Aussie Jess Jonassen and takes four to mid-wicket. Brave's skipper now has the highest score in the innings.

I guess they'll say the decision to drop Devine down the order has paid off.

  18. Brave 85-5published at 80 balls

After a run of 10 balls without one, Georgia Adams pulls wide of short fine leg to get a rare boundary.

Adams is a canny cricketer. She's rarely spectacular but almost always offers something when needed.

    She's up to 19.

  19. Brave 77-5published at 75 balls

Still no Sophie Devine, who may be about to become the world's best number 11 if she is pushed down the order any further.

Mady Villiers gets off the mark first ball with a single.

Southern Brave are not looking particularly dominant. It was a good change of direction from Georgia Davis coming around the wicket.

A great catch from Tammy Beaumont as it is hard when the ball is going out of your eyeline.
