Hodge can't believe it. He has absolutely smoked it, it was four all day long. He's looking to the sky in absolute shock.

Ollie Pope has just plucked it from nowhere, the ball is almost behind him.

It is hard to explain how quickly that was travelling.

  4. wicket

    Hodge c Pope b Woakes 24 (WI 88-7)

    Superb catch!

It's an absolute screamer from Ollie Pope to dismiss Kavem Hodge. The West Indies batter cuts Chris Woakes aggressively, but Pope takes the grab to his left at a short point, it's almost behind him when he snatches it two-handed to his left.

A cry from astonishment from the crowd and Ben Stokes is full of laughs as the England team gather to celebrate.

Four wickets in eight balls for no runs, this is a big collapse.

It was all about Jimmy Anderson this morning but the Lord's crowd has been treated to a very special spell of bowling from the debutant Gus Atkinson.

Alzarri Joseph was definitely not expecting to be walking out to bat this soon after lunch! I've seen that rushed look many a time walking down those steps, he's still adjusting his thigh pad.

  8. WI 88-6published at 35 overs

We get a chance to catch a breath as Alzarri Joseph takes his time getting to the wicket - he wouldn't have expected to be batting at the beginning of the over.

The West Indies seamer ducks into an 89mph Atkinson bouncer and is rapped into the helmet.

What an over - a triple wicket maiden for Gus Atkinson on debut.

I'm going to miss Jimmy so much but Atkinson is looking like he could be the replacement, he's the real deal! Have watched him for a while at Surrey and it's great he's showing everyone what he can do now.

What a special occasion. He's worked the Lord's slope perfectly.

Five-for on debut at Lord's, does it get much better than that? He has bowled so well, got into his stride quickly and the early wicket just gave him that boost of confidence.

He will never forget this feeling.

Atkinson hits the bat harder than you'd expect and it can take you by surprise. Athanaze opened the face of the bat, he got drawn into the shot perhaps by the slope.

England's slip catching has been impressive.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 34.2 overs

    Athanaze c Root b Atkinson 23 (WI 88-4)

A third wicket for Gus Atkinson!

It's Alick Athanaze that has to go, drawn into playing at a delivery he didn't need to play and edging to Joe Root in the slips.

The West Indies' pacy start after lunch has hit a speed bump.

  20. WI 88-3published at 34 overs

Chris Woakes sends down a maiden to Kavem Hodge.

He gets a bat on each delivery but can't find a scoring shot.
