That was a hideous innings by Lawrence. The Bazball influence at its worst. He's a much better player than that.

Dan Lawrence may not have the technique but he has a way of hitting the ball and it still goes a long way.
Well, Lawrence might be playing rather frantically, but it doesn't mean it can't be fun at times.
He absolutely carts Asitha Fernando over the covers for six.

Root gets off the mark, knocking Kumara's ball to mid-on and picking up two.
He follows up with a lovely controlled pull shot, just helping the ball on its way to the boundary for a first four.
